I have the replay, but I can't put the video up. Maybe this is known...

I was going against a marth, and he SH nair'd and when the second sword swipe occured I dair'd him and he flew down at a 45 degree angle towards the ground. It's hard to explain where it spiked, but it was during the end of the dair.

Edit: I watched the replay again, it wasn't during the beginning of the dair, it was during the beginning, on the blue purpleish part of the sword when the dair hits.

Are you sure it wasn't a stage spike?

I'm with Affinity on this; the only time I've seen the d air spike is through a stage spike. If there is some crazy way to spike with it, that would be awesome... More evidence would be appreciated.

How could it have been a stage spike if he short hopped on the stage lol, I watched it again and it was during the blue-purplish part of the sword during the beginning of the dair. Marth was at 53%, I swear to god I am not making this up.

That's for me to know
Wow, this was also mention in the Pit forums when someone thought that down air for Pit could spike. We concluded that in the end, because of the way the knockback was, that it was just bad DI on the victims behalf...

Hmm, it could be. I noticed a pattern in the down air is that it shoots more up as the damage percentage is higher, maybe he DI'd down??

it could be like how Tink's dsmash at lower percentages if you DI wrongly it sends you down and kills you ( i dont have a link but there is one floating around somewhere, mayhap the Tink boards) try to see if that's what happened?
