Ok so I watched your first match on Pokemon Stadium. At 2:29 you get thrown off the stage. At this moment you double jump backwards and forward B. This is a very bad idea. When you get thrown off the stage simply fall below the level and use your second jump to sweet spot the edge. You do the exact same thing at 2:35. So this is clearly a habit. You need to work on sweet spotting your FireFox/Up B. The first time you did it...you aimed it at Sheik, which isn't a smart idea. The second time, you used it too early and didn't sweetspot it properly, which got you killed. So learn to sweet spot it on ALL stages you play.

Be a little more careful when lasering. Fox isn't Falco, therefore lasering point blank range won't help all that much. Laser spam from a distance. Towards the end of the match you got very predictable with your recovery. You used side B like 3-4 times in a row. If you intend to use side B that much...at least shorten it at times. Just to be less predictable.

I also watched your second match on battlefield. At 00:28 you got knocked into the air and you used your double jump near the edge with high percent. This isn't a good idea. The next time you find yourself in that predicament simply continue to fall/DI towards the edge and grab it. Or you could have carefully air dodged or came down with a nair (assuming you aren't at high damage). Basically any one of those options is safer then double jumping so close to the edge. At 1:47 you missed a perfect edge guarding opportunity. You could have wavedashed back on the edge and proceeded to gimp Sheik. I know you was trying to be careful but you are only lifting the pressure off your opponent, which isn't something you want to do. At 1:53 you got hit by needles while hanging on the edge. Remember to grab, let go, regrab the edge, repeat, to renew your invulnerable frames.

At 2:20 you didn't sweet spot your Side B and you paid for it. I know its Battlefield and it has a gay ledge but you still have to try and sweetspot. Remember you can shorten your illusion. At 2:43 you knocked Sheik off the stage but you were way to long to grab the edge. A simple trick I use is to run off the level and use your side B to grab the edge. Its an extremely handy/fast way to grab the edge.

Overall, you aren't bad. Nice drill shines/waveshines. You had some nice predictions going on. You just really need to work on your edge game. Learn to better your edge guarding skills and make smarter recovery choices. Don't take the critique personally, you are a decent player. Just keep practicing, watching vids and ask questions.

I notice this a lot with aggressive foxes and the first thing they do when they approach is nair. Don't approach with nair too much because a good player would have caught on your 2nd or 3rd nair and punished you for it via dd grab, aerial, w/e. I use the three strike rule for approaches. Regardless of hitting or not hitting, after the 3rd time I use a move to approach, I change to a different move. Remember you got shine and grab. Running dash cancel shines always lead to something after like a waveshine or if you're playing spacies, a thunder's combo. And you know how grabs work, so I don't need to explain much.

Oh and stuff about nair. I used to have your playstyle 2 months ago, so I can relate to your playstyle. Nairs aren't neccessary after like 60+% because you can't really follow up with a jab or shine. You're barely hitting them with the tip of your nairs so that means you're spacing them well, BUT you can even come closer to your opponent to start your nair. I guess the best range for that would be about 1 wavedash distance. I can't explain it any better but my point is to start them as close as you can and still have the option to land in front of your opponent or behind.

This is false, my friend. Nair is still extremely useful at high percents. Its knock back is amazing around 60% and higher. Nair isn't always about following it up with shines. In fact, you can sometimes do a series of nair chains at higher percents to get you enemy off the level..or even kill them in some cases.

Yeah I'm a hypocrite for saying that. I use nair all the time against characters like falcon and marth. >_>

But I like to have more control over my opponent, thus the shine and jab follow ups

Against people who wavedash OOS after the shine get ***** by just doing repeated shffl nairs rather than nair -> shine. Just look for it.

don't try to use your tech skill at every single opportunity when you're not getting hit

instead, focus on playing well and using your tech skill to hit/combo your opponent

huge problem that a lot of foxes (esp. beginners) have

nair links to upsmash on just about every midweight character, for a wide range of percents, too
