both have same link...

you seem to know tech skill and edgeguarding, so just learn to make better choices and predict better. we cant give you those answers.

Okay. I can't exactly tell you anything specific that will help your game, but I can tell you what to work on (note that I only watched the match vs. Sheik, so I might be off the mark on this):

First of all, you need to learn to be more aggressive. There were a lot of times in the Sheik match during which you were simply standing around while the Sheik was hanging from the edge (perfect opportunity to run up and d-tilt them), tumbling in the air very close to you (good chance to use a fair, nair, or whatever tickles your fancy), and stuff like that.

Secondly, and this is important, you need to learn to better predict, for one, the habits of the player your up against, as well as the traits and moves of the character they're using.

Remember, there are no shortcuts or magic tricks that will make you a Ken Hoang overnight. It takes practice, practice, practice, and more importantly, observe and learn from your practice.

okay ill go through and point out things then write them here.

okay, dont attack shields. this is probably the biggest mistake any marth can do. its asking to be grabbed if you misspace.

shielding is bad. marth has very few options from his shield, and marths usually have the habit of shield grabbing. you wont shieldgrab a fox so dont try. usually you will either get grabbed or gimped out of your roll/jump.

when fox grabs you, instantly DI to the side. dont even think, just react. he got a bunch of uthrow uairs cause you didnt DI. also, you can SDI out of fox's uair by doing a halfcircle technique. if you DI one way, rotate your controlstick between 45up and 45down in the opposite way very fast. this will let you move out of the 2nd hits way when the first hits.

when you are on the platforms, your first priority is getting down. falling through is the most predictable option for that, and many times you can get stuck. it is less predictable and safer to run off the edge.

when you grab your opponent, throw instantly. unless you are chaingrabbing, dont do the attack. that gives them time to think and time to DI.

and if you get on a platform with someone under you, dont shield. jump or run off the edge with an attack. this will get you out of the way and you wont be very vulnerable. getting down to the bottom is your first priority.

edit::

vs sheik

low % dont uthrow. under 10% i think it is sheik can no DI and come down with a nair before you can do anything.

dont sideb near to the edge. sheiks like to jump back and **** you.

when edgeguarding sheik, ALWAYS edgehog. you can either ledgehop nair her backwards or roll/stand up and fsmash her back off.

dont just stand and grab. dash and jc a grab for a ton more range.

get in the habit of pressing L/R as you upb. this will let you tech and live through things.

when you DD around, make sure you have enough room to react to your opponent.
