You have a very nice Marth. Some what aggressive (no worries we have that in common) but smooth nonetheless. The main thing I notice that you guys seem to have an off and on switch when it comes to mind games. Its like during the match you'll have it on, and then you'll continue to blindly attack (especially the Falco with his lasering) as if mind games were out of style. Then when you both got tired of being too up front, you'd switch on the mind games again and try to play smarter. Kind of odd. lol. All I can say is try and play smart through out...not just when you feel like it. XD

Oh yeah and I did watch all of your mm too. I'm not going to bother with giving Fox tips because this is teh Marth forums. lol. Anyway, uhh I notice you don't know how to play Marth as well on other stages excluding FD. You have to learn how to adapt to changes, in both inside you (mainly mind set) and those on an external level. You have to remember, playing on a different stage, weather counter pick or not, will force your foe to play different to some degree. So you have to "know" your opponent. For example, perhaps you know your foe with Fox will waveshine chain on those blocks on DL 64, what to do? Just camp a bit and hope he'll come to you in the middle of the level. I could go an on but I won't. In a nut shell....think!

Know your characters limits. Don't play as if Marth will make an exception on a particular day. His limits will remain. So you gota know when its safe to jump down (i.s. angles) and smack fox with a fair after countering his Fire Fox. ;)

Over all I enjoyed watching your awesome Marth. We would have a sexy fight...too bad I live too far.

I really only watched the first game but the match took a weird turn that I didn't expect.

It looked like the characters switched their roles lol mad weird.

First off I think your marth is pretty good you CGs are rarely missed and your edgeguarding was off only when Falco recovered high.

Ok what I don't get is why the falco stopped camping.... in falco vs marth its very disadvantageous for falco to approach marth.

He can get shield grabbed, his laser can get countered, the laser can get power shielded into a grab, a d-tilt possibly to grab... etc....

Even if you powershield a lot you probably won't do it to all of them and falco can shield it if he is far.

I think you have to get aggressive in the match up. I think it was fortunate that he was pretty impatient so you can shield grab CG kill him.

You probably already know this but your first death could have easily been avoided. You went out too far too aggressive unable to cover all of falco's recovery options. Staying on the stage would have left you in a much safer position and left falco with less options. So the second you f-aired him and falco left the stage you should have stayed put on the stage.

At around 1:33 it sorta looks like you CC his dash attack then rolled away. You should have taken advantage and instead grabbed him and f-throw - > d-tilt edgeguard. You did a great move by reading and CCing his dash attack then let the opportunity slide. Your marth he is falco that dash attack should have costed a stock and since you played pretty on point that definitely woulda meant a stock.

At around 1:54 you caught a tipper f-smash and some reason the falco started to fire. You got hesitant to go in for a f-air. Don't be hesitant remember that falco's fire won't damage or stun you until falco moves from the charging fire position. Going right into his fire and f-air or n-air would have been fine.

The kill you did around 2:30 was really fast and was great idea ;) applaud :).

I think you did fine because the falco chose to fight the way he did. He approached recklessly and you were able to grab him and **** him with death combos.

I think you should limit f-smashing it probably gonna get canceled by falco's shl and should probably only be used to kill falco.

Remember that you can dash attack under falco's lasers too its an easy tech chase grab use it when you see a retreating RSHL.

That was a strange match .... lol...

Sorry if its not really informative its the first video i tried to critique really lol. Fun though good marth ^_^b

Ummmmm, where's the White Marth representation? I don't think I need to say anything else about these videos. Marfing is funner than Foxing or Sheiking though. You've got to stay white and uphold the Texas tradition though so... Pfffttttttttt

All jokes aside, good Marth of course you know I like your Marth. Though honestly... play white... come on now... what do you think this is?...

...

I want to go back to Austin to play again... It's been a long time.

... play white...

Oh and... when you switch back to white... ... that's what I thought :)

Austin, I was looking over some videos, and I noticed two things:

Your combos, while pretty, are sometimes very stupid. You tend to do fair to uair way too much and don't end your combos with Ken Combos. It's great to get those ridiculously long combos, but if they don't end in a killing move (almost always a forward smash or a Ken Combo), then you're just going to spend the stock struggling to kill an opponent who is at high damage.

You whiff too many forward smashes. For the most part, only forward smash if you've combo'd into it or if you see an opponent do something punishable (or predict that he'll do it). Also, you pivot forward smashes too much. It's fine to do it in a combo (like fthrow fthrow DA dash fsmash in Marth dittos), but it's not terribly difficult to avoid. A player can simply wavedash backwards.
