Counterpicking Norfair? (b-stickers)

I love Norfair. I'm curious as to if anyone else does. Its got a very good layout for my playstyle: loads of platforms, and lava. I think its the best stage for a (competent) b-sticking Lucas.

Ignoring the more standard reasons to pick a stage (they've probably been discussed elsewhere) here are some b-stick related reasons.

--death-grab minimized by platforms (I had to note this)

--thundersliding tricks (sweetspotting the platforms)
--zapjumping > lava
----tons of ways of avoiding and exploiting the lava.]
----kinder gentler lava: saves you from a botched zapjump, accidental pkfreeze.
----PKT - lava juggling.

--basically all the recoil tricks I use are fantastic on this stage.
----move around the stage extremely quickly with zapjumps, pkf, magnet pull and the snake.
----Good ledgecamping opportunities w/ wavezap off the edge (lower platform to higher).
----multiple reversed, wavebounced, or wavelanded falling pkfs (higher platform to lower)
----only stage in which I can safely b-stick a PKFreeze recoil (following a magnet pull for example).

yeah, i love that stage too, in Norfair i won my last tourney, it's a shame that is banned here now lol

I think the reasons they banned it are stupid....its not like the fire pillars show up out of nowhee and kill you...they slowly come on to the screen....i you are tired of getting killed by them.......run to the other side of the screen

here in Colombia, we are tourney***s, and only play in BF, FD, SV, YS, and a custom stage, similar to Halberd

Well, the SBR doesn't recommend banning Norfair, not at all. They have it as a counterpick. So the standard isn't to ban Norfair.

There is no good reason to ban that stage. Everything is avoidable unless a player hits you into the lava, in which case, props to them.

Lagless FHPKF and magnet pull > pillars, zapjump > front waves, the side waves are f***ing great (you can even work in recoil pkfreeze).

I love Norfair. The only counterpick I like better than it is Brinstar. Lucas ***** on Brinstar.

Norfair and Brinstar are pretty dope for Lucas. Picto is my fav stage for Lucas though. I rarely to never lose on this stage.

Why is Brinstar so great?
