wait so did he control the fall? or was that the platform itself that caused it?
if so...would that mean he can do it near the edge...and not die...and with perfect spacing have the best edgeguard?

and if its a spike can it be meteor canceld?
Epicnessness at its best lol

Well , we've been testing out different ways of doing this. Cosmo has become very scary since he likes to end his matches with over+B off the side, which is a suicide, but they die first, because of the way he holds them. You can't use it on regular stages becasue you cannot go through them, but platforms can be spaced so that if you are as low as you can go when you over+b in the air, the animation will pull them through.

If this becomes a good technique, and a effective kill move, i'll have to copyright it with the date of this video. :chuckle:

I think I know how it works: Marth hit Ganondorf over the edge, but it barely made him go flying at all. Ganondorf then positioned himself in the middle of the platform, then used his over-B. Since Marth was in range, and he was in the middle of the platform, the game automatically spiked him down. The umbrella thing was, likewise, a coincidence.

At least, that's what I think.

do u think its possible for Ganon to jump and do it in the air just right so that when he slams them down he will land on the stage or platform and the other character gettin grabbed will be spiked?

I was thinking about that, and i'm pretty sure it won't work. The only reason he survived this time is because the umbrella of the level appreard in between the two, and luckily saved him. More testing is on its way, for sure.

Hell yes! I knew the choke-slam would be exploitable!

Also, note to cosmo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5l4wohkPs0I&NR=1
At 1:39, you wizard-footed downward and then used Up+B to recover. I thought that it was impossible to do now in brawl?
You can still upB but the whole point of using downB in the first place was to get your 2nd jump back, this doesn't happen in brawl but a cool thing to do is to keep your 2nd jump, down B, then use your 2nd jump and then upB. lol I dunno if it's really useful at all, might confuse your opponent though

Naw, you can still do it (obviously) but the difference from melee is that you no longer get another jump after the down+B, so it's a bit riskier.

wow, that was pretty freakin sweet. however, i've noticed that when ganon finishes with that move when him and his enemy are at 1 stock they go to sudden death. this never happened when my jerk friend used kirbby's suicide throw technique in melee, he just won. do u think they changed the rules of suicide techniques overall?

These video's are pure win. :chuckle:

Since Ganon needs to be below the stage (from the game's viewpoint), and depending on the height of the hit box, would it be possible to deliberately approach underneath and pull that off (on the delfino stage)? It'd be risky, but i imagine you could up+b if the opponent caught on.

It's too hard to not sweet spot the egde. it would seem what you have to do is start your over+B in the air, but space it so you go right against the ground when you get on the platform. When he grabs, the animation puts them underneath the platform and that's what takes you down, since you're no longer considered "on top"

i hope that makes sense.

After watching the first clip with your point in mind that makes sense, considering he couldn't sweetspot from above. I am a little surprised that they didn't cause the throw from above the stage to collide the opponent with it, though i guess once they are grabbed they are technically in the air, parallel with Ganon anyway. Basically, once they are in Ganon's grasp they belong to him.
