Firstly, 'pet' is a superior verb to the overly wordy 'gently stroke'. The claws caressing is redundant, since it's already clear Ridley is petting Chrom's legs. Secondly, I have shown a way to put Chrom blushing before/during Ridley whispering without pronoun confusion (hence, the space break and then the action tag which indicates Ridley as the active agent and speaker), and with concision.
