Salamence@Life Orb
Trait: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Stone Edge
- Flamethrower
Comments: Formerly a CBMence, but then I tried it out and and killed an electivire with Earthquake. Next turn they switched in a flyer and there was nothing I could do besides pointlessly earthquake, so I switched to Life Orb.

Magnezone@Life Orb
Trait: Magnet Pull
Nature: Modest
172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
- Thunderbolt
- HP: Ice
- Substitute
- Magnet Rise

Donphan@Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Shard
Comments: Spinner obviously, also semi-physical wall/sweeper due to high attack and defense. I like him better than Starmie and needed a spinner. Also a stealth rocker. Ice shard for attack priority.

Skarmory@Shed Shell
Trait: Keen Eye
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 64 Atk / 192 Def
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Drill Peck

- Spore
- Baton Pass

Medicham@Expert Belt
Trait: Pure Power
Nature: Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

If you're going to be using Ninjask, consider replacing the Choice Items with Life Orb. Versatility will be important when using passers. It would suck if you had to switch out of your boosts when something comes in with an immunity to whatever move you're using.

Drop Garchomp's FFang and replace it with Fire Blast. The main fire weak Pokemon have lower sp.def than def. Give Yanmega Air Slash over Aerial Ace. Roost over Toxic and Drill Peck over Aerial Ace on Skarmory. Put SR over FFang on Donphan. Your Skarmory will cause a lot of switches.

You're going to need a good ice resist. Three of your Pokemon are weak to it. You'll also need a special attack/defense oriented Pokemon. You already have Donphan and Skarmory to cover physical threats.

Thank you for the advice. I'll definitely consider life orb over CB, definitely take your advice on Yanmega and Garchomp if I do decide to use them or Ninjask and Smence. I'm stumped on a good ice resist. Empoleon?

And what about a good special attack and defense poke? Gengar? Gardevoir?

And I'll post my BL team sometime soon. I'll give some more thought on it. BL is my favorite tier.

One thing you might want to watch out for is that your team is entirely weak to thunderbolt/ice beam, which is a VERY common attack combination. This team especially will have problems with Gengar, which commonly carries hp ice and thunderbolt.

Salamence wants Dragon Claw over dragonbreath.
Skarmory wants Drill Peck or Brave Bird over aerial ace.

Take a look at Magnezone for your team. It resists both electric and ice, and can hit back pretty well. Also, it has a lot of useful resistances that makes it easy to switch in.

I think I have my OU team worked out. I'm pretty sure I did it well, but I need some comments and criticism.

-----------------------------------------------

Ninjask@Leftovers
Trait: Speed Boost
Nature: Jolly
176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Swords Dance
- Aerial Ace/X-Scissor
Comments: Standard. Wasn't sure about leftovers, but it can't hurt. My potential strategy is going to be to sub, get some swords dances in, and baton pass to CBmence.

--------------------------------------------------

Salamence@Choice Band
Trait: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Earthquake
- Dragonbreath
- Rock Slide
- Flamethrower
Comments: CBmence. Ninjask will pass to him to up his sweeping capabilities with extra speed and attack.

-------------------------------------------------

Togetic@Lum Berry
Trait: Serene Grace
Nature: Modest
252 HP / 152 SpA / 104 Spe
- Nasty Plot
- Roost
- Air Slash
- Aura Sphere
Comments: My potential special sweeper, and can take special hits very well. Is it too bad having both sweepers be partial flying types?

OR

Magnezone@Leftovers
Trait: Magnet Pull
Nature: Modest
172 HP / 252 SpA / 84 Spe
~ Thunderbolt
~ Hidden Power Ice
~ Substitute
~ Magnet Rise
Comments: Taking shadydentist's suggestion. I'd like the special defense and look of togekiss, but this guy resists thunderbolt and ice beam as opposed to Togekiss being weak to both. Probably gonna go with him if he's good for the job.

-------------------------------

Donphan@Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard
- Fire Fang
Comments: Spinner obviously, also semi-physical wall/sweeper due to high attack. I like him better than Starmie and knew I needed a spinner if I were to use this team.

------------------------------------------

Skarmory@Shed Shell
Trait: Keen Eye
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 96 Atk / 156 Def / 4 Spe
- Roost/Toxic
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Aerial Ace
Comments: Pretty much standard. My physical wall and stealth rocker. I can't choose between roost and toxic. I love toxic, and works if Skarm cant damage much with aerial ace, but roost is an instanct recovery. Stealth Rock then roar for obvious reasons. Aerial Ace for accuracy and some damage. I prefer accuracy over critical hits that drill peck gets.

---------------------------------------------

Blissey@Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
Nature: Calm
148 HP / 252 Def / 104 SpA / 4 Spe
- Ice Beam
- Seismic Toss
- Thunder Wave
- Softboiled
Comments: I'm going to try Blissey over thick fat snorlax and see how it works out, but I might switch. Thunder Wave to cripple sweepers, Ice beam for coverage, Seismic Toss to knock off 100 HP, softboiled for healing.

How's it looking? Yeah, I will change up these sets a bit.

Looks pretty good. Also, your CBMence's moveset got a slight makeover:

EQ is standard.
Dragonbreath - Like shady said, Dragon Claw. It has a higher base attack rating
Rock Slide - I run Crunch on mine to deal with Psychics, which should work well with a BP'ing Ninjask. Anyone got any better suggestions? I haven't played DP in a while and don't remember what Physical Attacks Salamence can learn
Flamethrower - Can't believe nobody caught this: Choice Band doesn't boost the damage of Special Attacks. Replace this with Aerial Ace.

If you're going to be using Ninjask, consider replacing the Choice Items with Life Orb. Versatility will be important when using passers. It would suck if you had to switch out of your boosts when something comes in with an immunity to whatever move you're using.

Fire Blast? His Garchomp won't have good Sp. Atk. If that's the case, he'd be better with a SpecsZard or SpecsMence that runs Flamethrower. I'd go with SpecsZard, since he's neutral against Ice attacks.

Thanks a lot. I'll replace with aerial ace and dragon claw. I wasn't sure about the base power difference, but I just liked the paralysis chance of Dragonbreath. Then I realized paralysis shouldn't matter too much considering he's going to be a heavy sweeper and it's only a 30% chance. And would draco meteor be better, or is it special?

Also, i'm getting rid of Togekiss and replacing him with Porygon Z if I choose to not go with Magnezone since Togekiss has an ice and stealth rock weakness, which most of my team also does.

Now it's either Magnezone or this Porygon Z:

Porygon-Z@Life Orb
Trait: Adaptability
Nature: Timid
- Nasty Plot
- Tri Attack
- Dark Pulse
- Ice Beam
Comments: I really like him, and needing a special sweeper. I figured I needed pokemon with ice beam for dragons and flyers.

Fire Blast? His Garchomp won't have good Sp. Atk. If that's the case, he'd be better with a SpecsZard or SpecsMence that runs Flamethrower. I'd go with SpecsZard, since he's neutral against Ice attacks.
I just got diamond, not sure how to get a charizard.

Ninjask will see no use after Salamence is dead. Perhaps you could use Togekiss or Yanmega in its stead.

Listen to me when I tell you this...If there is anything I can tell you, it's to not use Ninjask as a lead. Every good player will gimp Ninjask hard. People use him as a lead for some reason, but please listen to me. He fails as a lead. Save him for mid game, when you're opponent loses his way to gimp Ninjask. Really, I know this for a fact.

Draco Meteor is a Special. DragonBreath is too.

I don't like the idea of a MixedMence. I have a CBMence and a SpecsMence:

My SpecsMence:

Modest @ ChoiceSpecs
252 Sp Atk/252 Spd/6 HP
Flamethrower
Draco Meteor
Hydro Pump
Dragon Pulse

My CBMence:

Adamant @ ChoiceBand
6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
EQ
Crunch
Dragon Claw
Aerial Ace

As far as a Charizard, if you have any of the 3rd Gen Games (R/S/E/Fr/Lg), you can import Pokemon through Pal Park later in the game. I used my AR to catch Zard (Also Modest with ChoiceSpecs) and my other Pokemon - getting the Nature and the IV's I wanted was far easier than breeding (I did a little breeding to get Hydro Pump on my SpecsMence)

Gee...It's been so long since I helped with pokemon...
For your team, I'd recomend a few things:
1) Id go with Porygon-Z over magnezone. With your setup, P-Z will be able to deal with all of it's major weeknesses. And with adaptability and nasy plot it is deadly in combat.
2) You need a physical sweeper. Since Ninjask is destined to start a physical sweeping streak, give it a pure speed and power poke to work with. And with the anti ice theme going, best choices would be an electrivire (deals with the water/ ice combo) infernape or blaziken (both have some extreme imunities to ice types) or lucario (lucario has a lot of hidden charms; double ice immunity, give him extremespeed and can negate trick room, etc.)
Just some sugestions.

Trait: Sturdy
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 Def

BL TEAM

Aerodactyl@Choice Band
Trait: Pressure
Nature: Adamant
38 HP / 252 Atk / 6 SpD / 216 Spd
- Rock Slide

Medicham@Life Orb
Trait: Pure Power
Nature: Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

Hey everybody. I tried my OU team on shoddy for the first time. I didn't really get how it worked at first, and kept messing up, but get it now. I won a few battles, lost a few too. I think I cold do really well if I knew how to use the movesets better on Donphan and Magnezone.

And I'm about to try out my BL Team, and I need some advice very badly since I've gotten none so far. Anything?

Your CB won't help you much. LO will work much more effectively. I use Aerodactyl like a faster, but less bulky Gyarados.

Salac Berry adds speed, not attack. Liechi adds attack. Belly drum maxes your attack to +6, +7 is impossible. Good luck using this guy.

Medicham@Life Orb
Trait: Pure Power
Nature: Adamant
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd

- Psycho Cut
- Thunder Punch/Fire Punch
- Ice Punch

Pure Power with Belly Drum should ohko everything in the game. Personally, I would put Fire Punch over Psycho Cut. Psychic doesn't offer that much coverage. Also, replace LO with Expert Belt or Muscle Band. If you take a hit from the switch in from baton pass, LO may cost Medicham it's longevity. Watch out for scarfers. You'll definitely want this guy to be Jolly.

4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Sludge Bomb
- Leaf Storm
- Shadow Ball
- HP: Fire
Comments: Special Sweeper. Modest or Timid? I really don't have the patience to get HP: Fire, any good alternatives? Energy Ball? Leech Seed?

Umm... Weather Ball? It may see plenty of use in Hail and Sandstorm. Other than that, Energy Ball sounds like a good choice. Go Timid and lose the specs. If you really want a good grass type specs user, you should try Sceptile.

Miltank@Leftovers
Trait: Thick Fat
Nature: Impish
252 HP / 226 Def / 30 Spe
- Body Slam/Seismic Toss
- Fire Punch
- Milk Drink
- Heal Bell
Comments: LOVE miltank. Healer and physical wall. Should I use Seismic Toss or Body Slam? Body Slam gets stab and 30% paralysis chance, but Seismic Toss guarantees 100 damage, which I don't think Miltank will be able to consistently get...

If you use seismic toss, you'll want something to handle ghosts, especially levitating ghosts. Toxic or Thunder wave may work well on this guy because of his ability to survive. If you replace a move, put it over Fire Punch.

Empoleon@Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
Nature: Calm
252 HP / 6 SpA / 252 SpD
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot
- Stealth Rock

No comments? Whatever, it's standard anyways. It should work out well, but I would shift some sp.def EVs into sp.atk to ensure it gets the kill on certain pokes. Too lazy to do calcs now.
Edit your teams into the first post! Your teams are really basic. Two walls, and Choice sweepers. Trying to get as many types of attacks into your pokes.

Thank you very much. I took all your advice and posted my teams in the first post. And I know they're very basic, I didn't know what EV's or Smogon was until 3 weeks ago, and the OU team was the first team I have made. And again, thanks, you've been a big help in this thread.
