Eggm and I are making the trip to Mass Madness, a tournament that is expected to be Godly. Probably like 50-60 people. http://smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=189955

We are looking for 3 players to make the trip and chip in for gas. I'm not picking anyone up, so find a way here. Or if you live in south jersey, find a way to Eggm's, and he'll take you here. I offer housing to anyone who wants it friday night. I'm not sure what time we plan on leaving yet, but sorta early cuz the drive is like 4 hours.

If you are taking the train, I would be happy to pick you up, but you need to arrange that with me cuz I'm working friday night. The station you want is Matawan/Aberdeen. If you take the train to Eggm's, its the Manasquan station. Expect to spend about $20 in gas. If its more/less, we'll figure that stuff out later, just be sure to have money. Singles is $10, and they aren't sure that theres gonna be time for doubles since this is a brawl and melee event.

I think G$ is also planning on driving again, so that is probably more convient for people in the city.

Jfox I forgot to tell you jman is coming for sure so we can beat pc/kdj on teams. ^-^ So that leaves 2 spots.

Oh I also forgot to mention that spam asked before you even made this thread in another thread. So we should give him priority too. Also, you should make # 5 a teammate for u.

Scar, I don't have a van, I just have 3 spots in my back seat. I was just sayin not all of em would come, but invite them and see what they say.

Eggm, wouldn't Jman go wit G$$. We need to talk, cuz you are just tellin me things way late. And as for spam, how does he plan on even getting to me? I'm not stoppin at RU for one guy if I have other people willing to come to us.

We need to talk to G$ and see who he's bringing from NYC. Scar, you def have a spot. Jman might, and spam needs to post and tell me what the ****hes doin, cuz I'm the one driving and I aint heard ****.

G$ was saying on aim he probably isn't gonna go cause of money issues. I'll have to talk to him. Spam could probably make it to you or somewhere close 2 u like @ the train station. We HAVE to pickup jman scar can take # 5 spot or something. If it came down to it I'd take my car too just for jman or spam. Cause spam never goes OOS and jman needs to team with me, but I'd rather not take my car until I fix my rotors cause it shakes at high speeds which is gonna wear stuff out. Maybe I'll fix it this weekend.. hrm.

bro...theres no teams. its a singles only tourney.

I don't feel like spending extra gas, extra time, and $8 in toll money to pick up Jman. He can just take the train to my house friday night and spend the night. Getting in and out of the city on a saturday will add about an hour to the trip, and at least $12 in gas/tolls.

Theres gotta be someone else driving to MM. I can't be the only person. DJ def wants to come with. I'm sure HBK/Reno/Hazz probably wanna come too. Scar wants to come, and I'm sure more of philly does too. We need another car to make this trip besides mine.

I'm pretty sure the third event is going to be melee teams. There is overwhelming support for it now. No way brawl teams or low tiers will beat melee doubles atm.

I just talked to spamerer, and he said he didnt wanna go to MM. He is however lookin to go to esticle.

So I talked to DJ and hes def comin. So right now it looks like me, eggm, scar, DJ, and Jman provided that DJ and Jman take the train, which im sure they're cool with.

Also DJ really wants Alukard to find a way to come. Maybe we could find another car and get some more people?

if im off work, ill find a way to come so that i can win some money for teh brawlz while playing a game i actually like (teh meleez)

edit:: if theres a spot open, obv

double edit: nevermind, i dont like that the entry is $10, the store takes a 20% cut, and first only gets 55% :p

The split is a fair split for all players.
The store thing is only fair =| Nobody has complained about it before.
$10 is fine. The most someone has won at a MM is over $450. So, I'd say that minus the 20% and 55% for first isn't so bad

meh, im not saying its not fair im just saying i dont want to travel for limited money. if say 50 people entered brawl singles at $10 each, that's $500 in the pot. Minus 20% that's $400. 55% of that is only a bit over 200, plus the cost of gas/tolls/food etc, idk if it would be worth it. I've always thought of 65/25/10 as the standard, or 70/20/10 when its pretty steep. 55/35/10 to me just seems like ur handing 2nd place almost the same amount as first place.

Oh, and at this one I doubt you'd get 50 people for Brawl. It's mainly Melee players, duhhhhhh

Plank plays in md/va and does awesome in brawl. He has every right to be confident.

Now in melee he'd get *****...by ganon. lol, but it would be fun :)

BTW, I don't think m2k has a ride to MM. So come win first, and than let us rapesauce your rusty melee sheik

i consistently place top 4 in md/va and have taken sets off of chillin chu forte omni etc, as well as being able to beat m2k with a 2ndary and azen in all but 1 matchup. i also got 2nd at our low tier tourney.

and yea, brawl makes me brawful at melee LOL. i shoulda used fox vs kage, hes the only char im good with now and my fox ate him up earlier that tourney when we played

Yeah, Plank is pretty pretty beast at Brawl. You got like 3rd at Axis right? out of like 300 people.

ehhrrm, back to talk about the trip to mass madness.

Scar, Jfox, Eggm, DJ, and Jman is what its lookin like. DJ wants to try to squeeze Alukard in the back, but that you be really snug, and it is a long trip. I know Eggm is gonna ride shotgun with me cuz hes too big to be in the back comfortably. So Scar and Jman, DJ wants to know what you think about 4 people in the back.

Also I conformation from Jman and Alukard that you are even still coming.

@chillin and plank- You guys should come duke it out for first, and see old melee heads like cort, darc, pc, etc. I think it would be good times.
