Comboing a couple techs together... does it work?

Falco's Chain-Grab (Or Light-Pillaring, which I've still yet to get down. :I) towards an edge, ending the combo around 40% or so near the edge with a forward throw, getting them with a Gatling Combo to send them up, then a short hop spike?

I'm nearly getting it down pat, just not absolutely sure if it's possible, I've yet to see anything like this so far, sorry if this is old (moderately new to the forums)

After the Fthrow they can either DI up from the oncoming gatling combo or just jump after the Fthrow. Basically nothing can combo into the Fthrow, but if they don't see it coming you have some ending lag on the Usmash which makes the Dair spike impossible, unless again they don't see it coming. The hitstun in brawl is very low, not everything will work.

Yeah, I did see the F-Throw being the downfall of the idea. Would it just be better to keep up the Down-Throw?

What you want to do would require your opponent to DI poorly and have very slow reflexes.
In other words that is very unlikely to ever work against people that know how to play the game.

That or lucking out a surprise rush. :( So, yeah I would suppose so.
(For reference, I'm still learning the character, I tend to main out Marth, R.O.B., and Peach.)

it would probably be easier to d-throw to gatling combo rather than u-throw
that would be a pretty sweet combo if you could do it consistently
