Welcome to the [CLICHE TITLE HERE] Ladder 2012!

Basic Rules:

• Type: 3 Stock
  
• Damage is at 1.0
  
• All Items should be turned off.
• No Longer Accepting Entries
  

ALLOWED STAGES:

Advanced Rules- Tactics:
​

• Loser reports results. If there is a Dispute, we decide who is correct with a 1 (or 2) Minute Time Battle that both players should accept a replay of and both send the file to me via PM.
• No player may choose a stage they have already won on in that set unless agreed upon by both players.
• No Circle Camping, Sharking, Planking, or any other banned tactic (Not like you would, anyway. There aren't any prizes)
  

Advanced Rules- Character Specific and Glitches

• Any action that can prevent the game from continuing (i.e., freezing, disappearing characters, game reset, etc.) will result in a forfeit of that match for the player that initiated the action. You are responsible for knowing your own character, and must be wary about accidentally triggering one of these effects.
• If the battle ends in a draw with Bowser's "Suicide Throw" during sudden death, the player who triggered the event is declared the winner.
• Meta Knight's Infinite Cape Glitch is banned.

Advanced Rules- Schedule:

• All battles within a round should be completed within a week. However, we'll wait up to one month if your schedule demands it.
• No-Shows are subject to disqualification unless a Replacement is available.

There are several really bad things with this tournament...first of all why the hell is rob and GW banned?! There's nothing wrong at all with those characters. Secondly, items should be banned period there should be absolutely no exception whatsoever to it. Third, Skyworld and moses island are terrible stages and should be replaced by better stages(I.e. halberd and delfino.). fourth, dividing players by age is an absolutely terrible idea. I happen to be one of the best players here but I'm only 14 so I can't join the expert group even though that would be the only group that would be able to be a challenge to me. Last of all, hacking being banned is stupid as 99% of the players here use texture and music hacks...

Also, I'm not sure if OP is even a serious post. I mean, 3 stocks but a 2 mins timer? Really? EVERY game will go to time with this timer.

Do you think all players are so bad they lose 3 stocks in under 2 mins? For you to even suggest this tells me you have no idea how the game is played on competitive level and probably have never played anyone even half-decent.

There is already a perfectly viable tier list out on this site. It is based off of frame data, careful analysis, MU ratios and tourny results. Yours is based off of random CPU matches. Which is why it is almost completely inaccurate.

1. G&W and R.O.B. are unbanned.
2. Now they are (And I am happy for that)
3. Yeah... Now they are banned.
4. You would've been able to go up. That was my fault for not making it clear. But anyway, now it is based off Skill now...
5. Cosmetic Hacks such as the ones you listed are okay now.

There, fixed! If you still have problems, feel free to force 'em into that sad little box this fourm has you put letters into to chat and I'll edit them out of the tournament. Same goes for everyone else.

You still have the problem of only allotting 2 mins for 3 stock matches. And there should be no 5 stock matches imo.

The way it's usually done in tournys is:

1. 3 stock, 8 mins timer
2. Best of 3
3. Losers finals, winners finals, Grand finals are all best of 5.
4. All matches are 3 stocks
5. There is winners and losers bracket. So it's double elimination in other words.
6. There is no need for replays really unless there is a dispute. This almost never happens.

If you didn't know only the person who is using the cosmetic hacks can see them not the opponent unless he has the same exact hacks on his wii. I don't understand why MK can't be used on halberd and yoshi's island (brawl) He has nothing game breaking on them like he does on brinstar and rainbow cruise <.<

Try to line it up to the standard tournament rules (which they are pretty much telling you) and that would make everyone happy ;D
Also I have to say that you shouldn't split the tournament up into age groups because I'm still 16 and i wouldn't know where to go lol... >.<

I ditched the Ages Groups a while ago. Now it is based off Skill Level! :D

What do you mean, under banned? Also, Brinstar is banned so Meta Knights would not be swarming the tournament like it's as if he was never banned in the first place

Sorry about that. I will put Summit under banned. Anyways, there is a glitch that makes Samus start off as Zero Suit Samus. I should be more specific with it. Thanks!

That isn't a glitch that's a game mechanic. Whenever you're holding a specific button (depends on what kind of controller you're using) when you go to the stage selection screen with your icon on Samus when you start the match you will start out as ZSS
