This thread is made for the Atl North Regional Zone. For full information, visit the stickied thread in Tourney Listings.

The epic Clash of the Titans series of tourneys are back since early 2008 with CoT 4, the first epic Brawl only tourney to hit PA!

With Melee afoot in Philadelphia, it's time to give Brawl a chance to shine with a 2 day Brawl only tournament. You DO NOT want to miss this tournament! (Don't worry Melee fanatics, a Melee only CoT is also being planned now!)

(read the notes at the end of each section, they're important)

Traveler's Info
  • Flying in via plane? CoT4 is right near the Philadelphia International Airport. When you get to the airport, you can take the Septa R1 Regional Rail train to 30th street station (@ 30th and Market St) which is within walking distance of the venue.
  • Driving in via car? Check out Pakman's Parking Post.
  • Need to find a place to stay? There are plenty of hotels in the area (closest one being the Sheraton @ 36th and Chestnut St), or you can get housing with one of our friendly PA smashers by asking around or checking this post.

Rules
  • 3 Stock
  • 8 Minute Time Limit
  • No Items
  • Chibo's Color-Blind Rule: If a player on a team is playing Lucario, Sonic, or Pokemon Trainer, either team can request for them to be Blue Team and the opponents must abide. If both teams have one of the characters, they must work it out between them.
  • No stalling or running away to purposely run out the time limit (running out minimal time is one thing, multiple minutes is just ridiculous)
  • If you need to add your name to change your controls, please remember to do so, and do it quickly. You can not quit in the middle of a match if you realize your controls are wrong.
  • First round consists of all characters being chosen by a blind pick. Following this, each player/team is allowed to ban one counterpick stage for the rest of the set, and strike out one neutral from random (this stage is still open to counterpick however). A random stage will then be chosen for the battle.
  • Match two/three will first consist of the previous loser picking a stage, then the previous winner picking their character, and finally the previous loser picking their character.
  • Neutral Stages:
    • Battlefield
    • Final Destination
    • Smashville
    • Yoshi's Island (Brawl)
    • Lylat Cruise
  • Counterpick Stages:
    • Delfino Plaza
    • Castle Siege
    • Frigate Orpheon
    • Battleship Halberd
    • Rainbow Cruise
    • Brinstar
    • Pokemon Stadium
    • Pokemon Stadium 2
    • Norfair
  • Standing Infinites are BANNED which include (but not limited to) Dedede's small-step chain grab.
  • Ice Climber things are legal, as long as they aren't used for stalling.
  • GOTM's Rule Modified: Dedede standard chain grabbing is allowed, but greatly encouraged to be used as much as possible on Inui. lol.
Crew Battle Rules
  • 20 Stocks
  • Neutral Stages: Final Destination, Battlefield, Smashville
  • Counterpick Stages: Lylat Cruise, Yoshi's Island (Brawl), Pokemon Stadium, Delfino Plaza, Brinstar, Battleship Halberd, Frigate Orpheon
  • Each team must select their starting player prior to the match
  • Each crew must specify which players have how many stocks before the battle begins
  • Stocks must be divided as evenly as possible
  • First match is a blind pick of characters followed by a random stage
  • The losing team sends in their choice of a player and has two options. They can choose to go to a random stage or a stage of their choice. If they choose a stage, the opponent may change their character (before the new player chooses his/her character). If random is selected, the previous winner can not change their character.

Melee?
Everyone (hopefully lol) knows that Philly is home to some of the coolest and best Melee smashers in the country, so why let that go to waste at such a huge event? People will be traveling from across the US for this, so why not get a chance to play people like Scar and Cactuar in Melee? The venue is huge, so I'm sure there will be room for some Melee setups if people want to bring some TV's for it. Brawl comes first at this event, but I'm sure there will be Melee friendlies around throughout the tournament.
