If Disney really was interested in helping chimpanzees, why doesn't the corporation donate a portion of the total ticket sales instead of for just the 1st week?

I'm not against donating (and I respect the work Jane Goodall has done in her life), but can't a mega-corp like Disney afford to donate even a measly 1% of ticket sales? (according to the site, only 20-cents per ticket sold in the first week will be donated).

To me, doing the donation in this way is just Disney boosting it's opening week sales and then writing it off as a tax-deduction (i.e. the tax-paying citizens are the ones actually making the donation).

If you go in the first week, Disney will donate to the Jane Goodall Institute and you can help save chimpanzees!
Says who? Many "non-profit institutes" are fronts for more heinous activity. There's a large chance donating wouldn't help save any chimpanzees, particularly considering Disney is a known demonic corporation.

or in internet parlance, pics or it didn't happen

also jeremy you should move this to social, this doesn't belong here
