We don't really do local tournaments, the scene's small enough that it'd devolve into a smashfest anyways. if there was enough interest someone could host one though.

Knitephox, combo blaze, komotonoto, and I are sort of the chicago crew ATM. I'm in hyde park (uchicago) if you can make it out here I'll be happy to whup/moneymatch any or all of your friends and you. Super busy ATM so not really gonna figure out CTA stuff to make it to wherever you guys play

I think the other guys are in south chicago as well but I don't often play with them.

If you're super into a tournament host one yourself I guess. I might put one on at my college sometime.

Best advice I can give besides organizing smashfests is get n64 adapters to play online on pc.

I'm sure we will play in the future so long as you post back here and/or learn how to view and send private messages; believe it or not, I've lost the chance to play with 4 different groups of people just because they didn't read my private messages. JUST SAYIN. Top left after "Welcome, (your name here)" there are clickable words 'PRIVATE MESSAGES'

Host a tournament, we would probably come by and play

we might end up going to this, who knows

If someone has a smashfest/tourney in Chicago, and they give me two weeks notice, I could come up from Champaign for a day.

Try to play online if you have good internet and are willing to get an adapter, and try to get on the forums a bit so we can maybe start something. Bother KnitePhox or somethin', he's the cool kid.

Holy **** so many players from chicago popping up. Too bad they disappear after their posts.

Stranded is my newly-adopted little brother who mains Fox that shield broke me. It's impossible for me to not have him be my favorite.

Sheer was always complimenting me or giving me advice while playing. He was awesome and inspired me to play online (to learn the Yoshi matchup).

Banze was one of the nicest people I have ever met. He seemed like the happiest person in the world at Apex.

Illinois smashers are capable of interacting socially with other human beings, so our numbers grow

I imagine SK plays with a lot of new guys too

I've been playing online with project64k and im diggin it, i just wan to have a smashfest. And i would consider hosting it. Contact info: Alex Coven on fb. im on the north side of chi, and know roughly 12 smashers at columbia college haha. So it would be cool to have a large group of experienced and mildly experienced players and make some sort of bracket system for better player have a playoff sort of thing to determine which class of players you'd be competing against.

I've thought about making the switch

The sad thing is that the first time I met her I wasn't like "Sweet! I'm gonna be Link!" I was like "Sweet! I'm gonna be F. Scott Fitzgerald!"

It says "all proceeds go to the Boy's and Girl's Club of America", but you say there are cash prizes? Just want some clarification.

I'm interested though. I'd like to crush some punk ISU kids who think they're good.
