You should stop using gerudo (forward B) to approach, especially not in that level of play. It's priority is way to low to be a approach move, it's rather a good punishing move instead.

Also, you could of gotten a few reverse tip man in there at times, you had a lot of opportunities in that second match.

Other then that, you gotta start playing more defensively then offensively. Ganondorf, as strong as he is, isn't a offense character.

you need to play more defensively. Needs moar dtilt/uair. Your approach needs some improvement. And after landing flame choke, you should do a guaranteed follow up. (dtilt for zelda/shiek, dtilt or ftilt for pikachu)

I'll just bullet point my thoughts

  • Stop. approaching. with. ground. Gerudo. Its a disgustingly slow approach and notice how during the Sheik games you never hit with it once.
  • In the second Pikachu game I'm pretty sure you even died because of a missed ground Gerudo.
  • If you must approach with a Gerudo, use a aerial Gerudo. It has less lag and startup and a better grab range and this is obvious since you actually connected with it.
  • Improve your DI and know NAir is your friend. Most will say UAir and DAir constantly which is true. But if you're getting the snot beaten out of you NAir is actually the fastest to come out move in Ganon's entire movepool.
  • The second Sheik match it was painful watching how much you got juggled by her when you could've easily NAir'd at least once.
  • You were literally saved in the 2nd Sheik match by your ledge game so good job on that.
  • You seemed allergic to UAir'ing for a easy finish on the Sheik and Pikachu at times.

  • I feel the need to bitchily correct you shadow :p.

Aerial gerudo has more start up. 19 frames in the air and if you include the jumping animation you need to do it, that's 26 frames. And U-air is actually faster than n-air o.O

Yeah sorry its the ending lag thats less or it seems less since he slides forward a little which is better than standing around like a muffin. Startup is slower but I'm pretty positive on the grab range being better at least.

On NAir/UAir though I was pretty sure they're actually the same but seems it was my memory tricking me. UAir is 1 frame faster, though it doesn't change the fact NAir is still alot more applicable here. Somehow its kinda hard to hit with a UAir if they're underneath you.
