Honestly, I think 'Zard can play with Dedede like a toy if he manages to play smartly and exploit Dedede's big flaws; but Dedede is definitely one of the more skill-testing MU's with Charizard. As good as we are at attacking him from beneath, Dedede has the neutral advantage thanks to Gordo and FTilt, and those smashes can be brutal if caught unprepared.
Really, Dedede sort of forces Charizard into a different playstyle; where normally Charizard focuses on spacing people out, fighting Dedede means the best option is actually to get up close and personal in Dedede's fat beak, because then he can't have as easy a time in controlling the stage.
