Arguably, unless they're Hsu Hao levels of bad, I hate seeing any characters cut in any sequel!

That being siad, I'm, not gping to boycott any games just because my virtual waifu is missing from the selection, in the end of the day, it is a spin off and it will be fun no matter what!

I would be very upset if Luigi, Captain Falcon, Yoshi, King Dedede, and Wolf don't return.

I would also be rather unhappy if Palutena, Ghirahim, King K. Rool, Krystal, and Little Mac are not included.

However, I'll probably still buy the game regardless. It's one of the few reasons I bought a Wii U.

I'm not worried about who might be cut. I'd like to think that if they were in the first Smash game, they won't be cut. If Ness or Captain Falcon are cut, I'll be disappointed, but not to the point I won't buy the game.

The new DK game features Dixie, looks like K. Rool will be absent. I think Dixie might have probability on her side as a DK rep, but who knows anything after Wii Fit Trainer.

I'm going to buy the games regardless, but I would still be extremely upset if Ridley is not included (especially after who has been announced so far). The other characters that I would really like, but have pretty much lost hope for are K. Rool and Samurai Goroh.

If there was another F-zero character than I could probably live with not having Ridley, just because it makes me angry how much the series has been ignored.

Regardless I'm buying this game no matter what. But seeing my main character from all 3 smash games, Jigglypuff, get cut. I would be quite sad indeed, I'd get over it though. Jigglypuff being terrible in Brawl is practically the same thing and I lived through that.

I was extremely disappointed with some of the absences/non-playability (Ridley as 2 bosses, Lil' Mac as an AT, Mewtwo as a trophy, Krystal as a cameo, etc.) and as such, have had little to no expectations when it came to future game rosters across the board, so that I can relish in what little satisfaction/"surprise" some of them manage to have.

I would admittedly feel a little dead-er inside if most veteran characters, Ridley, Mewtwo, Lil' Mac, Krystal and the like got shafted/didn't make the cut. But I feel deader inside every day, and would get over it quickly, most likely. Not to mention I'd probably buy the games even if they were bad.

As long as none of the veterans from Melee are removed (and...okay, I seriously hope Olimar and Sonic are still in), I think I'll be fine. I can't really think of any newcomers that would be a DEALBREAKER for me...I mean personally, I really want to see Tetra, Paper Mario, and Little Mac in, but even if none of them make it, I think I'll be fine.

That said though, I would be EXTREMELY disappointed if these characters don't show up:

- Shulk. He's essential. He's the protagonist of the best Nintendo game of the last generation, a new franchise, he offers a great possibility for moveset, stages and everything else. This is my first choice.
- Ridley. It's since Melee's reveal that Sakurai is taunting us. Just put him already. I would even accept the Other M version. Please?
- Sonic. Make him better, or leave him like he is in Brawl. Either way, he fits too damn well. I can understand Snake being cut, but with the partnership Sega/Nintendo, I would never accept Sonic being cut. I put him in this list because being third party he has more chance of going away. Obviously not having Captain Falcon would be incredibly bad, but I don't think that's a possibility.

There are a lot of other characters I would like to see, but these are essential imho. What are yours?

I don't think Shulk is getting in.
Xenoblade is just a stand alone game now (with the reveal of X being very different).
That makes his chances muuch smaller than when we all thought it was going to be a continued series.
But yeah, he was one of my most wanted too as shown in my sig.


For me it's a deal breaker if:

1) None of these characters are fun to play and decent enough to main (i.e. at least mid tier, preferably higher):
- Link
- Ganondorf (with his own moveset only)
- Shulk
- Pokemon trainer
- Geno (I can dream...)

If not then I guess I'd settle for Marth or another FE character again. But I won't be happy about it.
Otherwise maybe try someone new who interests me like Ridley, MewTwo or Pac Man.

2) Online play isn't 10 million times better than Brawl. Some kind of record of your performance, preferably divisions based.

No Mewtwo, no money from me. He's become so frequent in Game Freak media lately, especially in the years following SSBB. It would be crazy not to add him. I don't care what forme he shows up in - so long as he's in. Even if he's bottom tier material competitively, I'll enjoy him wholly.

Myself; I'm not sure I wouldn't buy the game if certain characters weren't in it but I'd be shocked if we didn't see Ridley, Bowser Jr and to less of a degree Palutena and Lil Mac as newcomers this time around.

This. I was never much of a Sonic player and I wasn't very good at using him but as pretty big fan of the character in my tween years, I was stoked to see his inclusion in Brawl. He felt right at home with the rest of the cast as well. Like we was always part of them. Unlike Snake. His exclusion wouldn't be a deal breaker but I feel Sonic has earned his place in the cast and leaving him out would be sorely disappointing.

A deal breaker for me would be if for some crazy twilight zone debacle happened and Mega Man and Link were taken out of the game. I know it's not gonna happen (especially in Link's case lol) but that's what it would take for me to skip out on Smash IV.

Also I agree on the Ridley thing. Samus is so lonely in Smash lol. She needs a counterpart. I have no opinion on Shulk.

Pretty much this in all honesty RealTalk it is immature to not purchase the game just because said character made it or didnt...if you had your heart set on purchasing the game before you was informed on the news.

I want the top 3 in the most too Expecially #1 Ridley because Metroid deserves it atleast Brawl got Diddy and please....ZSS was about as orginal as Dr.Mario..even though she played really unique...
