Character Updates Gone?

I am sure the delay had nothing to do with it

But I figure we will get several characters revealed next month, since we are supposedly getting the entire starting roster (and possibly entire roster as a whole, but that is far less likely).

he will always update something bout a character, each week... im predicting tomorrows will be a how-t-do, the day after stage, the day after that character, and last update music or an item

ive been wishing that since i started reading shonen jump three years ago. their brief nihongo lessons help with basic words like please and thank you... but they do have action words of course!

I have an okay feeling about this next month's updates. I don't know why, but I just... do.
We'll probably at least get one or two more characters, and I'm also expecting some special moves for the characters he hasn't revealed them to yet.

I'm sure that we WILL get some random, crappy updates like we get every once and a while:
(Sakurai: "I wanted to show you the Super Smash Bros. Brawl logo, in case you haven't seen it yet. I just love how it turned out!! It just screams... 'Game'...")

I'm bracing myself for the worst, just in case, though.

I personally think it'll be funny if he gives some super good updates and then basically says "LAWL, how about I entertain you all with super crappy updates written purely for humor!" That'd be pretty funny.

You know, it's been a long time sense they last posted a vet. Any ideas on why?

My guess is that this month long drought of character updates is due to the delay. Perhaps they had planned to accelerate the number of character updates as we got close to the release (since they know that most people who check the site daily are also the sorts of people who will be getting the full roster soon after the Japanese release). Well, perhaps even earlier than the Japanese release date, depending on whether any game reviewers can get the full roster earlier and decide to/are allowed to release it. Anywho, rather than stretch that plan out over the extra two months, they decided they wanted them to still stay close together - and so they've left us out to dry this month.

But I predict at least all of the returning veterans and a couple more newcomers by the Japanese release date. And then after that, well Sakurai can release any remaining info later if he wants, but we'll be getting it before the US release date anyway.

As for Sakurai not wanting to reveal the whole roster because he just cares too much - I'm sure he realizes that 1. probably the majority of people who check the Smash Bros Dojo site daily are people who say screw it to the surprise factor anyway (if they cared that much, they wouldn't look at anything but the trailers) and 2. those who don't want to know the full roster can stop checking. I mean, if you notice that he starts doing character updates close together as we near the release date, it's not hard to figure out that you should stop checking if you don't want to know.

If it's all for the fans, then surely he'd take into account how many people are disappointed by the month long drought of characters. But I don't think the drought has anything to do with that.

September: 0 New Challengers
October: 3 New Challengers (Lucas, Sonic, Dedede)
November: 0 New Challengers (so far)

So I would predict next week there will be a newcomer.

Hopefully, we'll get a veteran this week.
