Character Related Extravaganza Team Tournament: REPORT TO CHATROOM TOURNEY HAS BEGAN

Theme:
Well if you read the title and made it this far, i give you a high five! Anyways to explain the theme fast and simple, it's a team tournament in which you and your partner must be characters from the same franchise. An example of this would be Mario and Luigi. Now there is another thing that restricts some team combonations from being in the tourney, a villian from a franchise can't team up with the hero of the franchise. So a example of a team that wouldn't be allowed is Bowser and Mario. However to limit restrictions, me and the co-host Stroupes have created a list of allowed and none allowed characters to be in. It also goes without saying that this tournament is simply for pure fun, so if you see your Main is a character not allowed in the tournament, please bare with it.

Every other character is banned from the tournament, sorry guys.

Rules:
ALL Stalling and Infinites are Banned. If you feel your opponent has broken this rule, please contact me via this thread. -Subject to change

DDD swallowcides results in their victory.

A random neutral stage will be chosen with no reset. After that losers pick a stage, NO stage can be played 2 times in a row either.

Team Attack is Always ON.

Best 2 of 3. Finals will be best 3 of 5
Items are OFF including smash ball

*Special rule: Dittos are not allowed. However a team like Samus and ZSS are allowed. Also changing your characters during a course of a set is allowed, as long as they apply to the theme and rules. However you must let your opponents know before the next match begins that you are changing characters.

Schedule:
The plan is for the tourney to begin on Febuary 13th and run threw till the 15th. Everyone has until 3:00 pm Wednesday to have signed up and have a partner if wanting to particapate. The tournament itself will begin at 6:00 pm Friday

Yeah, Link Zelda and Ganon all have triforces, that should count for something :<
Ganon should be up there though... judging by the character list blood relation isnt required.

It's saying that Ganon is part of the Zelda franchise. So he should be allowed...but the rule is no Heroes and villians.

Zelda isn't related to either of the Mario Bros, Yoshi is DEFINITELY not related to any of the three, nor is Bowser. Zelda, to the best of my knowledge, was never related to link in any of the LoZ games. Fox and Falco, Ness and Lucas... it would seem it's relations based on association, in which case Ganon should be included :/

and Samus shouldn't really count as being related to herself, that's... weird. But that's just me.

Read the theme again guys, it's all based on character franchises. Not blood relation, you took it much too literally.

Wario + Bowser
MK + DDD, etc.

We're not going off of technicalities here...
MK and DDD are labeled as villians, even if they switch sides.

In some games, Bowser switches sides, but is most definately a villian.

MK + DDD only.

technically i dont see why Bowser cant team up with Mario or Peach. He may be their villain...but he was an ally in Super Mario RPG aswell as in the Paper Mario series. Ah, gotta love loop-holes. Wario's on his own though. Biker Wario and Plumber Wario...Unless its with Luigi and the "borrowed" WaLuigi suit though.
