So it looks like all these leaked characters are some of the first you unlock. I'm expecting several characters even the leakers didn't know about at this point, I'm convinced that roster was just a really early one with only a few unlocked.

Pink gold metal dark baby Dr. WaMario would be better than Dark Pit.

Wario, Mr. G&W, Doctor Mario, Lucina, Ganondorf, R.O.B, Bowser Jr., and Jiggs are left for the known unlockables I believe.

And we have potentially 4 more after that.

You know I really wasn't expecting the Duck Hunt Dog to summon mobsters that shot at you. Watch him be able to summon the Ice Climbers

And we have potentially 4 more after that.

Yeah, out of that roster, DHD would be one of the last unlockables if it was final. There's definitely a lot we don't know about.

They're from Wild Gunman, another NES game that used the Zapper. It also cameoed in Back to the Future II.

That's not too unusual, is it? I mean, they both use NES Zapper, so at least there's a correlation. Villager uses a Balloon Fighter move and Pac-man uses a lot of non-Pac-man junk.

Honestly, Ridley would probably be a bit more complicated to unlock than just classic with Samus.

They need to use Marth and Mario to see if that gets their clones.

He barely isn't a clone. He has a different Down Special than Mario.

Guys, Dr. Mario is very unique. He has different colored pills other than Mario having just a generic colored fireball. Dr. Mario is unique.
