also, something that a friend of mine brings up regarding changes, what's the deal with Lucas's Dair? previous demos had it changed from a multiple stomp to a simple sweeping kick, and now it's back to the stomps brawl had... make up your minds, guys!

They happen to be a better attack.

Toon Link's forward Smash looks a bit weird since he's just holding his hands apart.

Lucario also has a few clipping issues on his U-Smash, and his animations could flow more naturally.
Toon just uses one hand for the attack.

Lucario I will not object, but if there is one attack that deserves attention, it's his Up Smash, or rather, his arm.

I don't exactly remember what it looked like in Melee, but I definitely remember enough to know that Link's rapid stab combo doesn't look right in this. I only noticed this when playing Training Mode as it's prolly too fast for most to see, but while the placement of the of the attack was faithful, the animation, when seen in slow motion, looks a bit off. a minor gripe, granted, but just figured I'd throw that out there.
Do you play your daily matches in slow motion or what? Also you have to realize half of the modifications done to moves in Project: M take root from Melee AND Smash Bros. 64

That's where Link's jab comes from, including the animation.

Pretty sure TLink's jab comes from his 'jab' from Wind Waker. Link's jab from Smash64 is pretty much the same as he has in P:M. Just two slashes and a stab; no spinning jump like TLink has now.

You said 'jab', just pointing that out, is that what you meant?
Oh, you SAID Link. Not Tlink. Sorry. I didn't read that right.

Not so much mechanical polish, but man, that curled-up "sleeping" Mewtwo taunt looks like it would be amazing if it could be held forever like Diddy Kong's juggling...
Excellent suggestion. I made sure to tell SDoom when he popped up on Jcz's stream.

like I said, it's just nitpicking the little details, so while I'll just point it out for the sake of it, I doubt it would be anything important. I do tend to go on training mode for all sorts of reasons, most of which are for casual reasons and it was just one thing I noticed. and it's not so much the jab as when he's doing the stabs, the motion looks good and all, but when one looks closely at the model itself, the sword doesn't quite seem to be pointed straight... I could say a similar thing about Sonic's PM Dsmash, where at the end Sonic's legs are just stuck out straight.

the opening post asked for any animations and stuff that could use polish, I'm just running with that...

speaking of running, did Link always run like that in Melee? he looks like he's dancing for some reason.

This isn't so much a animation problem, more so a animation suggestion.

Would you guys consider switching Ness' Pk Thunder from his stupid, hit in the butt and spin around like a maniac, to his smash 64 version of Pk Thunder.

The one where he looks like he got pushed in the back, rather then spinning in a heap. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tADqJffOrHk

Aesthetically I always though it looked waaaaaaaaaaaay better in smash64 then Melee/Brawl. Also this would differentiate it from Lucas' Pk thunder, who also spins around in a heap.

It would make no real difference to the hitboxes or hurtboxes, just an aesthetic change.

Anyone agree it looked better in 64?

I don't really care about Wario's laggy animations, I actually kind of like them, but what I care about is his stomach ****ing up immensily on the victory screen when he does the flex pose. That's one of the most disgusting things I've seen in a while.

It's no longer block-white; it has been touched up. Have you played Lucas in this demo?
I have 2.6 (not b) and I thought it was still like that? I guess I'm mistaken.
Edit: As a Lucas/Ness main in P:M I totally agree Ness's should be the hit in the back. It does look a lot better and I think it somehow makes more sense for Ness. Since I'm a Ness player in 64 I'd like it even more.

Charizard's sideb still looks so awkward on the ground, but apparently I'm the only one who feels that way. It looks like he levitates, despite knowing that he's "falling back on his tail", it still looks....wrong, to me.

I'm not going to lie, It would be pretty bad ass if one of Lucas's taunts was the Osohe Dance.

Either replace up-taunt (even though it was worked on to be a reference for ink dropping apparently) or down-taunt.

I really like down-taunt though, but I don't know exactly how to explain it. It sounds like he's being sassy in the tone of his voice, but that could just be how I feel because "MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM" has been a joke between me and one of my friends whenever something silly happens.

Though I couldn't care less about d-taunt's animation. It's cool but Osohe Dance would be hilarious, especially if you could hold that forever too like Diddy's taunt. You could keep the sound for his d-taunt, but I think that'd look/sound a bit weird if he made that noise while shaking his butt...

If anybody actually works on this, I'd like to know about it btw.

Still personally think Mewtwo could blink/squint/use a little more facial animation during his attacks.

The puff on smoke/dust/air on sheiks walking animation needs to go.

It's the only walk in the game that has those wavedash puffs or w.e. it is. It looks really out of place.
