"Their anguish was my nourishment."
I discovered this the first day I started using Snake, and figured it was common knowledge. After over a month of using him, I haven't seen anyone else do this so I figure I might as well share it with the world.
When you are midair with Snake (for example, after a cipher recovery), everyone knows that you can drop a C4 to protect your landing. However, it is less known that if you jam the control stick left or right while dropping the C4, Snake can sharply change his direction midair. It is a great little trick that allows your C4 to protect you even more from jugglers.
Using this trick, you can place a lot of distance between yourself and the C4 while creating an effective wall to dissuade juggling enemies from coming near you. Note that this isn't merely DIing away from the enemy... it's a sharp change of direction right when you drop the C4. You don't even have to be going straight down to change direction... it works when you're traveling right and you want to go left.
Just a little trick, hope it helps. I can post a video if needed.
