Players will determine their characters.
Blind Pick can be called at this time.
1st player writes down his/her character OR tells a TO that choice.

1st player MUST pick the written/told character from before. 2nd player cannot change.
If there an issue with the blind pick, contact a TO
Players will determine who strikes first.
If players cannot determine who strikes first, then Rock-Paper-Scissors is played.

Round Robin Elimination Pools into Double Elimination.

Seeding based on Average Skill* and Location**
*Determined by TOs and knowledge of previous teamups. Teams that have not teammed before may not be accurately seeded.
**If both players are in the same state but not the same region, then the team will be a "State" team.
**If both players are from different states, then they will be Regionless
Team 1: TheKiest (OH) teams with Hilt (KY)
Team 2: Sole (Cbus, OH) teams with SuperNac (Cbus, OH)
Team 3: Katakiri (Central OH/Cbus) teams with Absol (Cinci, OH)

Team 1 is Regionless
Team 2 is Cbus, Ohio
Team 3 is Ohio

Team 2 won't be pooled with Cbus (unless too many Cbus Teams)
Team 3 MIGHT be teamed with other Ohio teams
Team 1 will fill in gaps.
I think this is the most fair way to do the seeding.
Normally Doubles seeding is glanced over very quickly. This time will be different.
Pool sizes will be 5-8 teams per pool depending on the Total Team Count.

Pools will eliminate players to create a 24 team double elimination bracket.
Bracket will be seeded based on Pool Results and Region.

Nothing will be seeded based on Singles Results or matches.
You will be seeded with your Doubles Partner ( :p )

Team Attack On
All 8 player Sm4sh stages on Random*

*Rules may change after doing experiments, might get rid of those boring "competitive stages", or shorten/extend stock/time.

2 teams advance each round
1) The team that won the FFA
2) The team that did not win the FFA that had the most Kills*.

*Friendly Fire kills do not count.
The other teams will be sent to loser's bracket or will be eliminated.
Loser Bracket Matches might have only 3 teams in the FFA matches.

Finals will be done with a Point system
Teams going into grand finals with the objective of earning 5 points.
Matches will be played until a team reaches 5 points.
Points are added in this order.
1st place - 2 points
2nd Place - 1 point
If there is a tie after adding 2nd place, remove 2nd place's added points and recheck.
If there is still a tie, the winner is the higher placed result of that match.

Teams start with points based on a team's last bracket match placement.
Winners Finals 1st place = 3 points
Winners Finals 2nd Place = 2 points
Loser Finals 1st Place = 1 point
Loser Finals 2nd Place = 0 points.

Hey Kiester!

I'll see if I can convince my roommate to come with me to this. No promises, though; he might be in the middle of writing his dissertation at that point.

So I literally found out last minute that someone crossed my name off the venue reservation list and put in an all day show that is coming tomorrow. They won't budge on this.

Tournament is cancelled.
