cancel opponent Kirby's copying?

I was brawling against a Kirby.
Kirby inhaled me, spat me out, began to copy, I press L... and the copy stopped! Kirby didn't copy me. I had it happen a few more times. Is this generally well known? Perhaps I'm not seeing what I think I'm seeing?
Try it yourself!

I'd really hate for someone to respond to this with "duh nub".
But through a bit of searching I couldn't find anything related.

I lack the resources to put up a video, otherwise I would!

And yes, if it's true, it would certainly be a bad thing for all Kirby users =[

Even if this is true, it shouldn't make too big a difference. Kirby users generally stick with inhale for kirbyciding/starspiking.

I'm too lazy to turn on my wii and try it out. But I have no idea why that would work.

But if it was B, then that's weird...

Though the way you worded it definitely made it sound like he actually spat you out with A. o.o did it do 10 damage, or 6ish?

he spat you out and then copied you? like spit and then jumped up inhaled again and copyed?

For all confused and those who've posted thus far,
I feel confident that this was the series of events:
Kirby inhales,
Kirby lets me go (through head),
the star comes out from me (like abilities from enemies in the Kirby games),
PRESS L,
cancelled the star, thus stopping the copying.

Asdioh - I don't know the damage ^^; I haven't memorised things of that sort.

If he spit out you, he wouldn't copy your ability, he would only give damage to you.
The copy only works if he have pressed Down Buttom.

I come out above Kirby. Kirby copiess me, so I come out the top.
There's the possibility of coming out Kirby's mouth, in which he'd just spit me out and not copy me, THAT IS NOT THE CASE.
I came out ABOVE Kirby, through the top of his head.

I believe that when I'm a little star, I press L, and it cancels Kirby's copying.


I am incapable of playing all the time. Why don't you guys check it out when you play? I betcha get to play all the time =]
I haven't played since before my first post in this topic, otherwise I would write down a ridiculous accurate description of what happens.

I find it hard to believe, but who knows? I'll have to test it out, but I doubt my 8-year-old brother would comply.

I should apoligise.
I tried several times to replicate this L-cancelling with a friend,
and I don't think I was cancelling the copying.
It's most likely that I mis-identified Kirby sptting me out it's mouth, not copying.
