I know its the 2nd best selling franchise but if i wanted to se pokemon fighting i will , i dont know , BUY A POKEMON GAME all im saying is i think if sakurai was going to leave some luigified characters why didnt he just alter roy and leave him in , i have no problem with ike , infact i dont like roy all that much but a have friends who main him and i think is unfair :/

The reason Marth is in brawl is because he is going to be in another Fire Emblem game. Who knows Roy might be in fire emblem again but on a different game than the one with marth in it

Well, the other two fire emblem chrictors that made it into brawl have some iconic features with them.

Marth was in the very first fire emblem game, as well as the second.

Ike was in the first fire emblem game to be on an nintendo home console outside of Japan.

Roy on the other hand... He was a promotional tool. He was in the game to promote the upcoming fire emblem game for the GBA.

And it's not as if they didn't try to put Roy back in the game. There's data evidence that he was originally planned to be a charictor

The reason Marth is in brawl is because he is going to be in another Fire Emblem game. Who knows Roy might be in fire emblem again but on a different game than the one with marth in it

The reason Marth is in is that in Melee, he actually got in on popularity. That popularity hasn't lessened since then. The new game thing is just an extra.

Roy could have made it back... maybe, but it wasn't likely. GBA lords aren't exactly loved. His only saving grace is Sword of Seals (if given ALL its Game effects) is the most crazy as sin broken thing ever in any FE game.

But ranged attacks, healing, and all its cool charms would NEVER happen.
