on there, it also says that sega was contacted about sonic in brawl, but at the time, they had not yet gotten back with them. that's what i wanted confirmed.

Why? He's the most requested character, and that article says Miyamoto said that Nintendo has contacted Sega about the idea. It's almost certain that Sonic will get in Brawl, if all the talks, etc., go well.
