Camp outs/midnight releases

What games have you and your friends camped out for or gone to midnight releases for?

For me it's been:

Halo 3
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Mario Kart Wii
Rock Band 2
Grand Theft Auto 4
Madden NFL 09
Pokemon Platinum
Star Wars The Force Unleashed
Halo Wars

And on the 22nd i'll be going for Halo 3: ODST and TMNT Smash Up

The gamestop near where I live hasn't run out of any game the first day they came out,

because of that, I've never needed to camp out to get something the first day

I went to a midnight release for SSBB. I also camped out for 2 days for the GameCube, 3 for the PS2, and 3 for the Wii.

The only midnight release I've ever gone to was for Brawl

I never get the point of midnight camping out.

More often than not the game will be there the next morning, and if it isn't it'll be in a shop that doesn't have midnight releases. And I'm in the UK- if I bought a game on midnight release I'm hardly playing it before everyone else, seeing as Japan will have probably had the game for a year, and America for 4 months .

I've only gone to one midnight release and that was for RE5. Only reason I did this was because my friend said "I'll go pick you up" and I was going to get the game regardless, so why not take the opportunity?

I got to play it early without wasting my own gas.

Who said anything about camping? You just show up at midnight

We know the game will be there the next morning. We know we're not playing it "early" before everyone else. It has more to do with we've decided not to wait the last few hours haha.
