I feel like I'm in the same boat, I've played smash since the beginning, but I'm not a tourney guy. I love each game for its own unique qualities and this new one seems to right up my alley.Well, I'm a bit on the middle ground, as I know and play Smash competitively, but I've never been to a tournament. So you could call be a hyper-casual, or a pseudo-competitive.
With that said, I'm excited. It looks fun to play, and Sakurai seems to be taking good aspects from Melee and Brawl to make a new, unique game. For instance, gameplay is a tad bit faster, and combos are easier to follow up on (going off of Brawl). Isn't the reason ZeRo won the Invitational was just because he knew about the SD rule? If he was in a reg. match, he would have been forced to confront HBox, and he would have lost. Get that, Zamus losing to Kirby.
This is me.anything is fine for casuals considering they love brawl.
Already nerfed. Can't double missle, can't cancel sideb on landing. As long as Sakurai doesn't horribly nerf Samus, I'm happy that one of my two favorite characters is at least believed to be quite good right now.
We loved Brawl because it is a good game, not because we accept anything. This attitude of yours is the exact reason some people outside of the competitive scene loathe competitive players. It is also the reason I have no plans of playing Sm4sh competitively, I just don't want to deal with people bashing other games I like in the franchises (including Sm4sh, which I will most likely adore).anything is fine for casuals considering they love brawl.
It's funny because I consider myself competitive and I really enjoyed the demo. Granted I only got two rounds of it, I really enjoyed it. It's simple if you don't like it don't play it. No sense saying it's ruined because to someone else it might not be. Personally I am excited to relearn this games style much like I did with Brawl and with Melee. I think that's a direction we should take this in. Learning new styles. We loved Brawl because it is a good game, not because we accept anything. I didn't play the game yet, but if it is floaty as Brawl, then fine for me. It doesn't bother me in the slightest and I am just happy tripping is history.

If you enjoy a game with tripping you would pretty much enjoy anything i honestly don't care about most casual players opinions. We loved Brawl because it is a good game, not because we accept anything. ...okay cool.If you enjoy a game with tripping you would pretty much enjoy anything i honestly don't care about most casual players opinions.
Umm... wow, dude. Merely enjoying Brawl shouldn't put me, or anyone else, on the same level as someone who likes Sonic 06 or Superman 64. All of the SSB games are great games in general. Just because Brawl wasn't competitive enough doesn't mean it was objectively crap through-and-through, and just because some of us enjoy it doesn't mean we accept anything and everything that comes our way.If you enjoy a game with tripping you would pretty much enjoy anything i honestly don't care about most casual players opinions.
Outside of content and music brawl is on that level. All the groundwork from n64/melee was throw anyway for balloon fighter gameplay. Sakurai said himself brawl was made for casuals only pretty much.Umm... wow, dude. You sure you're not being a little extreme? Sure, Brawl had its flaws, but at its core it was an acceptable game. I don't consider it an abomination simply because it had certain anti-competitive features. Doing so is tantamount to saying that Disneyland is an abomination because it didn't have that Horned King ride you always wanted (somewhat bad analogy, I know, but I hope it gets the point across)Outside of content and music brawl is on that level. You are in a thread called Calling all casuals. Why are you even here? To insult people who actually like having fun and trying different things? Seems highly logical.Outside of content and music brawl is on that level. All the groundwork from n64/melee was throw anyway for balloon fighter gameplay. Then why are you quoting my post, if you don't care about my opinion? lolIf you enjoy a game with tripping you would pretty much enjoy anything i honestly don't care about most casual players opinions.
