Hey there! I've got a new question for all you poke-experts here on the forums.

I'm currently looking for a Baton Passer to use for my team. I'd like suggestions (w/movesets plz!) for an Emerald Baton passer. Certain restrictions apply:

-No Clamperl evolutions (I don't know anyone to trade with, can't evolve it)

Well, that's about it for the restrictions I guess :p

I have been looking at Ninjask and Mawile, though I would appreciate suggestions on movesets.

My team right now:

Salamence @ Shell Bell
Intimidate
-Aerial Ace
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Dragon Claw

Metagross @ something...
Clear body
-Psychic
-Meteor Mash
-Light Screen
-Brick Break

Ludicolo @ Mystic Water
Rain Dish
-Surf
-Rain Dance
-Ice Beam
-Giga Drain

Skarmory @ Leftovers
-Double Team
-Toxic
-Protect
-Fly

I've also got a Blaziken I might/might not get rid of, as it has crappy moves right now.

That's it, go for it! If I choose your suggestion I will name the poke after you. :)

What are their Natures? And, yout should add a Scizor to Baton Pass Iron Defense and Swords Dance onto your pokes.
Scizor can also pass Agility.

Ninjask is a good Baton Passer.

Protect
Baton Pass
Swords Dance
Aerial Ace

Ninjask can pass on Attack and Speed.

Until wii meet again,

Ninjask could hold a focus sash anways. But ice shard and sash don't matter because this seems to be an emerald team.

I suggest you buy DP and a wifi adapter. :D

That's why the moveset I posted has Protect. You'll be safe for the turn, and Speed Boost will... boost your Speed.

If you're using D/P: Why not a Subbing Ninjask with Lefties? The only thing faster than it is Speed Form Deoxys.

If this is a 3rd Gen moveset: Go with Protect; if I remember Emerald right, Substitute is just a one shot deal.

Emerald? You should take advantage of cloning...It is godly when you're getting serious about movesets and EV training. You can clone all of those "1 shot TMs" like EQ, too. Your Metagross would do well with EQ, imo. Have that over brick break, cause they share a few strengths. But I'm off topic, this is for BPers.
If you've only got emerald, then I think Ninjask is the way to go. Nothing can really outspeed it (I seriously doubt you'll run into deoxys in the battle tower, lol), and it learns all the moves on its own...except for substitute...But if you're willing to use it, then here's what I'd recommend:
Ninjask @ Liechi berry/ Leftovers/ Bright powder
Jolly Nature EVs: 252 HP 140 Speed 56ish to each defense
Substitue
Baton Pass
Swords Dance
Protect/ Silver Wind
Items: If you manage to get a liechi berry, via Mirage Island (good luck with that), then you can sub 4 times and the berry will activate. You can then BP four speed levels and one attack level boost. If you have Bright powder, you can sub until they (hopefully) miss and use the next turn to SD. Then you BP. If all else fails, the Leftovers will at least give you an extra turn to use substitute.
Moves: SD and BP=duh. Substitute is amazingly useful if you run into someone who tries to inflict a status condition. No explanation really needed for it I guess. Silver Wind just insures that Ninjask isn't totally defenseless if your other pkmn faint for some reason (Quagsire + Focus Band + Counter = battle tower ***** -_-). Plus, Silver Wind has a slight chance of raising all stats, very nice to BP that.
EVs: You didn't mention anything about this, but just in case... 252 HP juices up Sub, and with 140 Speed, you can outrun anything, assuming your IVs don't completely fail. Defenses: just in case someone with Extremespeed or something comes along. Still probably won't help though... I can't remeber if those are the EXACT EVs to use, because my numbers are probably off in one way or another. But that's what my ninjask had, and it worked out most of the time, when Bright powder didn't fail me.

Thnx for all the suggestions!

Yes, I want D/P, but I'd have to get a DS first and I gotta save up for college, so thats not an option right now :/

As far as Ninjask goes, the only problem I have with it is its survivability. It seems kinda frail. But maybe substitute could work. Then it would be

Ninjask @ Starf/Lansat/Liechi berry
Jolly, EV: 252 HP, 100 Speed, 76 Def/Sp Def
Speed Boost
Substitute
Swords Dance
Baton Pass
Silver Wind

Which works for me. I'll be naming the Ninjask TombStone :p

EDIT:
I just realized that the adition of Ninjask as a speed/attk BP would work well with my Blaziken, witht he following moveset:

Blaziken @ Lum berry
EVs: 252 HP, rest in attack and sp attack
Blaze
Counter
Endure
Reversal
Flamethrower

Need the speed passed onto him to be able to pull off reversals, lum berry to deal with status afflictions.

Anyone know where to get a Wi-Fi adapter for Wii and DS? Also, do they work? I also take it that it adapts Wi-fi. Sorry for this but didn't want to make a useless topic on it.

Jolteon > Ninjask. Ninjask is **** easy to phaze out of battle. >_> 90% of the phazers doesn't dare to come into play against Jolteon. And what team doesn't have a phazer?

I'd rather go for X-Scissor on Ninjask, as it can actually do some damage with it (and crit). How is Silver Wind going to do anything? :/ And if you're working with berries, make sure it's HP is divisible by 4. And do not use lefties.

EDIT: Nevermind, Zook posted it's an Emerald team. Sorry ^_^"

Ninjask with both protect AND substitute will automatically give you up to max speed raise (unless the opponent is smart and switches to their Phazer, in which case you only get 2 or 3 levels in speed.). You could also use swords dance if your sub didn't die the previous turn.

I wish I could have a scizor (I think I had one in my Gold version) ut since I don't know anyone to trade with I can't really have it in my Emerald team. I'm in the middle of EV raising the Ninjask from above. fighting all those whismur sure is a pain...
