~GENERAL INFORMATION~

ADDRESS: 955 East 163 St. Apt. 3D - Bronx, NY

TIME: Every Saturday, 1:00 PM - 8:00 (estimated time, weeklies often run later)

ENTRANCE FEES: There are 5 fees; Venue Fee, Pokemon Singles Fee, Pokemon Teams. Fee, SSBM Singles Fee, and SSBM Teams Fee. Venue Fee is required, Pokemon Singles/Teams Fees and SSBM Singles/Teams Fees are optional.

Venue Fee (REQUIRED) ~ $10
Allows you to enter, play Pokemon friendlies and SSBM friendlies, access to electricity for charging your DS, free food (chips, soda, etc.)

Pokemon Singles Fee (OPTIONAL) ~ $5
Allows you to participate in the Pokemon Singles Tournament.

Pokemon Teams Fee (OPTIONAL) ~ $5
Allows you to participate in the Pokemon Teams Tournament. This tournament is NOT 2-player double battle, it is 4-player double battle; you must bring a partner for this.

SSBM Singles Fee (OPTIONAL) ~ $5
Allows you to participate in the SSBM Singles Tournament.

SSBM Teams Fee (OPTIONAL) ~ $5
Allows you to participate in the SSBM Teams Tournament. You must bring a partner for this.

~POKEMON SINGLES - TOURNAMENT RULES~

To participate in the Pokemon Singles Tournament, you must pay the Pokemon Singles Fee. You are to bring your own DS with a copy of Pokemon Diamond or Pokemon Pearl, loaded with 6 set Pokemon to battle with. The Pokemon can be of any level, however Lv100 is reccomended.

Below is a list of clauses, if your team does not meet these standards, you will not be allowed to participate in the tournament.

EVASION CLAUSE
The following moves are banned:
-Double Team
-Minimize

NAME CLAUSE
A Pokemon cannot be nicknamed with the exact name of another Pokemon.

OHKO CLAUSE
The following moves are banned:
-Fissure
-Guillotine
-Horn Drill
-Sheer Cold

POKEMON CLAUSE
Only 1 of the same Pokemon may be used on each team.

SELF-KO CLAUSE
If both players have 1 Pokemon remaining, using any of the following moves results in an auto-loss:

~POKEMON TEAM FORM~

To participate in the tournament, you will need to fill out a team form.

Forms can be downloaded at the following link: http://rapidshare.com/files/36409925/Pokemon_Team_Form.doc.html

Please print and fill out these forms with all necessary info concerning your team of 6 Pokemon; once the form is submitted it cannot be taken back - the team you put on the form is the team you must use for the entire tournament.

If you are unable to print out a form, there will be empty forms available at the venue for you to fill out; however it is appreciated if you can bring a form already filled out.

This team form must be filled out for both teams AND singles if you're joining both.

~SSBM SINGLES - TOURNAMENT RULES~

2.Once your Pokemon Team Form is handed in, you are not allowed to edit your team at all.
3.All rules in the 'Pokemon Singles - Tournament Rules' and 'Pokemon Doubles - Tournament Rules' sections as well as the 'SSBM Singles - Tournament Rules' and 'SSBM Doubles - Tournament Rules' sections are to be followed if you are entering the tournament.
4.Venue Fee must be payed.

I will definitely come to this, but not for the Pokemon battle i dont have Diamond or Pearl :urg: Wish i did.

So i guess im gonna be paying for Venue Fee A.

EDIT: hey guys, as of now please let us know what you'll be signing up for, i.e. singles/doubles so i can put that info on the coming list. thanks, also we're considering adding SSBM tournies to the roster but only if we can get more TV's.

no problem, FoSho, read the first post; if you don't bring the form there will be empty forms for you to fill out - it only makes it easier for bum if you bring the form already filled out, however it's no problem if you aren't able to.

also, could you please give me the exact smashboards names of those people you said are attending? just to avoid confusion, lol. could you also tell me what games you'll be playing, for example will you guys be participating in the pokemon singles/doubles tournies? we may not have a doubles tourney this week if we can't get enough people, so yeah we need to keep track.

guys we need 2 things:
-votes: how should the pot be distributed? if anyone disagrees with 60-30-10, please let me know.
-TV's: it seems like most people will be coming for smash, so we definitely need a supply of TV's and cubes. bum told me he has 2 tv's for smash, which obviously isn't enough since we're already looking at 15 people coming (at the least) and it's only been a day. please let us know if you can bring TV's!

i'm gonna try to get this thread updated with directions to help people get to the venue, just in case. also, since this week probably won't have a big turnout for the pokemon D/P tournies, bum might hold a smash tourney as well.

if these get moderately popular then bum plans on renting out a new, bigger venue for everyone.

Bum is having problems with smashboards at the moment, he's trying to get it fixed currently.

I think the entrance fee is good. But if he wants to put a price on singles it should be $5. $5 for both of the people in doubles. Thats basically $15.....i gotta get money cuz im kinda broke lol.

yeah I really don't know if I'm gonna be entering singles/doubles this week.. I don't have a single lv100 in D/P lol; maybe I can make it if I play nonstop tomorrow. =o

it will end a lil after it ends lol does it make sense?after it ends probably like a hour more or a lil less dependin n i only got three hours of sleep cuz i'm gonna rearrange the living room the hallway,buy the munchies 4 ya n set up the ac n fans.this is temporaily till i talk 2 my friend who will allow me 2 use hiz place which is alot more spacious 4 me 2 do this so bear wit me guys ok.thx n see ya in a bit
