You mentioned in the video that there were two tricks. Whats the other one? Can you describe it?

I've been doing this for quite awhile in important matches, but i still think theres a better way out. In any case, so far as I know this is the quickest way out of the chain grab. If they screw up even a bit then they wont continue, and at some point along the way the falco starts absorbing dairs in order to continue the chaingrab. As far as escaping though if I remember correctly I couoldnt do it until about 30%. When people test this out more make sure to let us all know.

Thanks Yutaku, ps I think Ive played you before I recognize your taunt

Me and piman34 did some testing online, and my conclusion is: I have to agree with thekneeofjustice. as long as the falco does perfect cg and buffers correctly, dair does not help you get out one grab earlier. it will however hit the falco if he tries to grab one more time, but a smart falco wont go beyond that point, and most likely DLX smash you right before the last grab.

I will post my agreement with the Knee of Justice and Stealth. Im not even sure Falco needs to boost grab against Pikachu to get the second or third grabs. Buffering the dash grab should let him nab Pikachu a couple times from 0 damage. Maybe even 3 times if its been diminished some from previous use.

If a Falco player does the chaingrab right you cannot do anything until about 30%... Trust me I play a Falco every friggin day and that ish is annoying. Me and him spent about a hour trying to see if you could break out... It doesn't work. After 30% though, then yeah dairs start working but if a falco knows this they will just dash cancel to upsmash. I always start a stock at like 54% or somethin...

Edit: The Falco chaingrab is buffered too so yeah Pikachu sholdn't even be getting THAT far away from falco that i shown in the video-_-
Trust me, I wish this was true as much as the next person but its not meant to be.

oh i got ya. its like snakes mortar slide. i didn't know DLX stood for that. i thought it was like boost smash or something like that.

that would mean that falco would only hit you with the usmash. he runs, dashes, hits usmash and it cancels the dash while still sending him forward a bit.
