Hey folks. I haven't played Brawl+ much, but there is one thing I am REALLY intrigued with.

I noticed no one that I saw has been talking about playing Single Player Modes in Brawl+. I've played a few modes, and the changes create a whole new experience.

Subspace: I only played for a bit, and from what I remember, not much changed. Oh well.

Multi Man Brawl: I haven't played this at all, but I can only imagine the possibilities this mode possesses. Cruel Brawl+ anyone?

Home-Run Contest: This here is the main part of my post. Thanks to gravity and "L-Cancelling," we are now very close to Melee physics. Ganondorf can Bat-drop at a much faster rate. Well, everyone can really, but Ganon is most notable. Ike has imoroved greatly as well.

I haven't played with every character in every mode, but these changes bring forth a new dimension of Single Player Brawl. There can be B+ Single Player boards for various discussions, tips, tricks, even a records forum, with vids too. I'm actually a little excited for the final release of Brawl+.

Has anyone else messed around in Stadium? Questions? Comments?

I briefly played around with the Home Run Contest a little while ago. Using 2 player Ness/Ness we were able to DTilt lock the Sandbag for the extent of the 10 seconds, resulting in a pretty ridiculous distance. However, I think the angle of the move has since been changed to remove any locking properties, so I can't say if it would work now.

I have messed around with stadium and it's a whole lot of fun now. Homerun contest is much more fun (Ganon is so pro). The target tests seem a littler harder now to thanks to everyone's higher gravity.

On the note of SSE, Brawl is a dual layed disc. On one side you have vs mode and all the stuff and then on the other you have SSE. We are only hacking on one side of the disc, hence why subspace is unchanged.

Subspace is weird. Some things like Dash cancel, Dash dance, and some characters gravity do change. While other things may not.

Oh? Hmmmm....

That's interesting. I haven't touched subspace since day 1 when I got everyone. What a terrible mode...But ya, Stadium is a lot more fun now a days.

I just played Cruel Brawl+, and it's even harder. The......things (I can't remember their names) don't have hit-stun so you can't combo them normally.

And that SSE on one layer, Vs. on another is crazy. That explains why running speed is slower, multi-hit moves are faster, and gravity is increased. Theories, mind you, but the above statements are valid.

On SSE in Brawl+

ALR is in effect
Dash Dance works
Dash cancel works
Hitstun is there
Running momentum doesn't work
Multi-jump characters don't go as high

That's what I've seen so far.

Yeah, don't mind him, he's always against me no matter what I say or do.

Phillyrider, if you're not gonna add anything constructive to the topic, please keep your negativity out of it.

When when get a gold release, I'd be nice if we made a thread for Target Test times and HRC distances.

I don't know what you call that, but I aee that as a negative statement. At least goodoldganon was responding to something, and his statement wasn't as....counter-productive as yours.

How is that saying "I like Cruel Brawl?" Some feedback would be nice.

multi-man brawl and homerun contest are really awesome in b+......

but man, it really sucks that SSE cant be hacked. even though SSE is kinda gay imo, i really like the stages that you battle on, those wouldve been nice for regular brawl.

The only reason you say my statement was counter productive was because you thought it was directed personally to you which in fact it wasn't.

Hmm i don't know about you but it seems like these 2 statements are the same exact thing.

It's not that it cant be hacked rather then it's not what they are focused on right now. The brawl+ team only has 2 active coders right now and im sure all their time is going towards brawl+ vs mode at this moment. Im sure that when they eventually reach a gold codeset that they will venture out into other parts of the game and enhance it.

I'm sexy...you main Peach. I'm automatically a better person. Oh ya...I went there.

:p

Anyway, I played some HRC for lulz today and though it's a lot of fun and more fast paced (and I think we'll see longer homeruns) I can't help but feel it's not as much skill. Move decay meant you had to switch it up to keep your damage as high as possible, but now you can just spam bat drops with Gdorf for example...

*shrugs* Either way, it's a lot of fun to try out single player again. Does classic and event mode work? Haven't checked.

Event matches, hunh? I shall return...

EDIT: Event Matches are essentially the same, no big changes.

I stumbled across a glitch though. My opponent grabbed a Timer. While I was slowed down, I jumped INSANELY high. At first I though my opponent froze, but a did a Dair, and clearly I was slowed down. I went into training mode and duplicated it, however, when both players are slowed down, neither jumps high. Also, I didn't test this on other items(Shadow's Chaos Control), or with multiple people.

I know everyone's busy with the Vs. codeset, but who should I point this out to? I don't even know if it's been fixed. I'm still playing with a codeset from sometime last month, the one from Beyond the Limit.

Also, is there anyway to get a Single Player Buffer option? Having to get used to zero buffer in HRC is a little challenging.

This is a known bug, it happens with chaos control too. And its not just jumping high lots of other weird things happen too.
