Is there a strategy for 3v1? I'm terrible at them so I don't bother crashing Taunt Parties.

I tried crashing a taunt party for the first time in forever.
I FELT SO GUILTY...and I only won one match, lol.

Play campy and let them all come at you. If they are smart they'll let one guy fight you at a time. That's when skill actually matters.

Oh yeah! Almost forgot. There's this really secret technique that allows you to demolish teamers. It has been passed down since ancient times. It's called taunting.

Taunting is the best thing to do to teamers even if you're losing. It makes them feel like fighting you is pointless. It also makes them rage.

I don't know what it is that makes people team on me in Basic every time I use DK. I just had a 3v1 against a crappy Sonic, an even more crappy Oli, and the even more-worse-than-crappy Zelda. It went to sudden death and the Zelda killed the Sonic by accident with Dins trying to aim for me lolx1. Oli died by my get up attack lolx2. I cargo held the Zelda for a bit to make everyone mad lolx821896t42174938746912!

Being stuck with Basic brawl alone makes me go crazy sometimes.

It's still not letting you connect with anyone? Nintendo... whay... stahp...

Well Mario Kart 8's roster is turning out to be crap IMO. This makes me even more upset over the wifi shutdown since most of my mains seem to be gone.

I once got teamed for literally no reason at all. I joined a match as a green Pikachu, then everybody just started attacking me and taunting at me. I have absolutely no clue why people would just all gang up on someone before they even know if he/she is a taunter or not.

The only explanation I can think of is that another green Pikachu was fighting against them and left recently, and when I joined they might've thought I was the same one.

Unless they have some additional hidden characters that won't be revealed and will increase the size of the selection screen (as it did in Mario Kart Wii IIRC) then it seems King Boo, Dry Bowser, Birdo, Dry Bones, Bowser Jr. and even Diddy Kong are all gone, in favor of all the babies from MKWii, baby Rosalina (I personally was dearly hoping that baby Rosalina would never come to exist) and a golden pink Peach.

There's only one character left to be revealed IIRC. I'm hoping it's either King Boo or Bowser Jr.

Golden Pink Peach? As a separate character to Peach? eww. I gotta look this up. There's no way Bowser Junior is gonna get cut. He was my next fav character after Daisy.

I think I've been a victim of this before...
Usually I get bored of fighting after about 10 matches of the same thing, then others follow suit, then the crasher wins and leaves.

Someone did this to me once. Unfortunately, they were really good. The others were crouching in the corner. I think they were being held hostage.

I feel your pain, since Mario Kart Wii I've found the baby characters to be redundant and annoying as heck. And baby Rosalina kind of ruined her character for me, disregarding her backstory.

Nah. Actually, what I said was that people tend to stay away from me when I am Bowser. It's the taunt party crashers that usually target me first.

Hmm...yeah, now that you mention it lots of Bowsers and DKs are fighters...but they're also good 80% of the time. Kind of like how a lot of Ganons actually know what they're doing.

I remember last night going into this room as Zelda and pretended to be a noob. All I did the whole match was spam f-tilt, u-tilt, and Nayru's... wasn't even hitting them %90 of the time. Of course I didn't win since I was trolling. Next round comes and I started ripping them apart. They all dropped after... trolololol.

I'll be on in a bit as a trolling Green Zelda.

The true test is to beat a taunt party as each character. Disconnecting them after each match. No lose streak.

I'm too afraid to try so I won't. I'd hate to leave Brawl online dissatisfied. The only memories I'll have of Basic Brawl are times I've beaten taunt parties. (I beat one once then I left. I came back to the same one as another character and beat them again LOL!) Its too hard to do consistently. You just have to hope for Temple with no items or FD/Smashville with tons of items. I still want to beat some though. I'll just make sure the last Basic Brawl I play I win.

Actually, the company who sold Nintendo the servers got bought out. The contract happened to end on May 20th. GameSpy was the company, and Glu bought them. I can't help but wonder if Nintendo would've shut down the servers themselves if they belonged to them...
