We'll probably stick around until they close the sub-forum completely. Possibly migrate to somewhere else until Smash4 comes out and then go and creep over at the new game's online sub-forum, haha.

i wonder if some kind of third-party alternative for WFC will emerge. a lot of people will be really upset when they learn the backward-compatible wii games they're playing on their wii U are missing online features. i know nothing about WFC's infrastructure, but maybe it could be possible to host local servers somehow, or perhaps another company will buy the rights to WFC and extend its life that way

either way, i'm really, REALLY bummed this is happening. a lot of people still have wiis, and it seems way too early for nintendo to give these online services the axe

also, like i said, this whole subforum will probably collapse once the initial mourning passes. all we'll have left are youtube videos, replays, and our posts from these threads to remind us about the great times we had on WFC

I'd probably be on the competitive side first again, then relax when I feel that I've done fairly decent. Thankfully I already have a 3ds. And I hope Palutena's playable.

As for the shutting down, I'm glad I don't have to see those wretched Basic Brawl hackers and noobs anymore, but I'm still gonna miss seeing you guys. D: My cute gold Pit was one-of-a-kind.
