Brawl+ Master's Edition
A New Interpretation of Brawl+!

What's the Same:
Physics. Most Characters. Most Stages. Most Things. This is Brawl+ Shining Gold 7.0.3 but
modified.

New Changes:

These changes have all been added to Brawl+ to further increase the epicness of combos without lowering hitstun or dumbing down the game. It additionally satisfies players with: enhanced characters, improved technical gameplay (in my humble opinion), more viable stages, energizing music, and flashy textures.

Characters:
-All characters have had their tech windows shrunk to 65% of the old...
-Invincibility of Tech Window is taken from 20 frames down to 13...
-Dodges are 1 and sometimes 2 frames faster...
-All characters have had their Invincible states removed from their getting up
animation, some ledge climb animations, getting up from trip animations...
-About half of the characters have had their moves tweaked in PSA. Most notably:
Diddy Kong's JetPack now responds to ledges differently, Pit has had some nerfing and buffing in different areas,
Lucas was nerfed a bit... plus more...
-The hybrid air-dodge has been added to add melee's air dodging to the fight...
-All characters have faster rolls...
-Respawn Invincibility Time is half
-Character balance is still maintained

Stages:
-Jungle Japes now has fall-through water, expanded death boundaries, better lighting,
and no Klap-Trap...
-Yoshi's Island (Brawl) now has no platforms...
-Castle Siege is now its third transformation, the lava level, with no transformations...
-Luigi's Mansion now has the mansion removed, and fixed boundaries...
-Pictochat replaced by KC-MM Grand Stadium V3

Music:
-Final Destination, Battlefield, Delfino Plaza, Luigi's Mansion, Lylat Cruise, Pokemon
Stadium 2, Castle Siege, and Smashville all have the first five songs replaced with
custom music
-Yoshi's Island (Brawl) has songs 3-6 replaced with custom music
-Jungle Japes, the Menu, and Rotation have custom music
-Pictochat's first four songs have been replaced

Textures:
-Over half of the characters have been given custom textures
-Many stages have custom textures
-The menu, title screen, intro movie, character selection screen, and stage selection
screen all have custom textures

WHO DID WHAT?
CONTRIBUTIONS:

This Package has a foundation on Brawl+ and most of the credit goes to its creators. I would never ask for any credit for Brawl+, as all I have done is added my own modifications.
Most character textures were done by others.
Some stage textures were done by others.
All songs were created by others.
Many of the character changes listed above were based on others' codes/files.
A couple of the stage changes were developed by others.
Super Smash Bros. is a product of Nintendo and HAL Laboratory Inc.

I, InkEmissary, made the CSS and SSS textures.
I did 99% of the stage changes listed above using brawl box. Pictochat replacement is not mine.
The brawl+ character files were all modified by the Brawl+ creators and then touched with some changes by me listed above.
All custom music except Pictochat's has been compiled and converted by me.
Some Textures (mostly stage textures) were made and/or altered by me.
Some gameplay features, like intangible state removals and faster rolls, were developed by me using PSA.

I thank the brawl hacking community for its great foundation in this pack and for allowing me to add my changes new in Brawl+ Master's Edition. If anyone feels I forgot to mention deserved credit or that someone should be mentioned by name for their contributions, please say so.

This pack is not official. Consider yourself my tester and please comment/message me as to anything that should be adjusted after you test it.
A note: Please do not post negative comments unless they are thought out and/or helpful.

Thank You and Enjoy, InkEmissary

Sounds... interesting. I'll try it simply for the fact that I at least try every "new" mod and PSA-

Wait a minute, no download link? You should've waited, this'll probably just end up locked because of that.

"Diddy's up b now sweetspots ledges"

Someone sucks at recovering.

"Lucas was made less cheap"

I stopped right there.

I agree in spirit that Brawl+ doesn't go far enough, so kudos for that, but this still doesn't go far enough.

How do you know the character balance is still maintained after adding something so major like the melee air dodge system?

If it's imbalanced, I'll try to make changes. but you can test it and I would listen to other opinions.

Independent Pokemon aren't available in tourney mode. For those that use tourney mode, they have pokemon trainer to work with.

IDK. Noobs like tourney mode cause they can't keep freakin track of their matches. I did that for the noobs out there.

Understandable, but sacrificing a good concept for newbies is never really a good idea imo. If they cant keep track of their matches, that's their problem and you shouldnt have to sacrifice for them. That's a trend in a lot of games now a days actually and its dumb imo.

What sacrifice? I just copied and pasted a code. Makes noobs happy, doesn't affect more experienced players.

The intent of the Wild Pokemon vs Trainer was that with the wild pokemon, you had the bonus of using only ONE pokemon and never get swapped, but the fact that you could only use one pokemon was a con as well, vs PT who could switch between 3 characters and CP mid match which was a huge pro with the con of being forced to switch out making it so that you need to create space and room so switch to a new pokemon and you'd need to be able to be good with all 3 to use PT at a respectable level.

If you give PT the ability to avoid autoswap, you pretty much just merged the concept of wild pokemon and PT together and buffed the character a great amount.

It's a sacrifice because you removed the original concepted and made PT easy day.

I second the notion that customized content should be optional. Chances are that everyone has already tailored their card to have exactly what suits their tastes.

still, I like the potential in this. I might even be convinced that melee air-dodge is better.

I tried this out. The air dodge code is pretty bad. Most of the time i end up in a shield after WD no matter what buffer i use. Not to mention, no air dodge puts you in a freefall, not even directional ones. I couldn't really put much effort into playtesting this because of it.

It's too early right now. I talked to Brawl+ people about deepening the game further for years, and they would have none of it. Brawl- are all ears, but they're not aiming for something competitive, just fun and re-playable.

Project M is stuck in the past, but once it's done it will be the deepest, most complete of the hacking projects. Perhaps once it's released they will sit down and start looking at how to improve on the formula of Melee/64. If not, I'd like to use that as the launching point for something that does.

I locked your first thread because you, without permission, took another mod's work, modified it to go against the developers' wishes, and then, on top of that, gave it a new title with 'Brawl+' in it, signifying that it was affiliated.

Sorry, no.
