Animal 214, no one knows if it would be laggy, period, because they haven’t played the game… but yes it sounds like you’re talking about the right kind of experience. If too much is going on for the machine to handle, it starts handling it slower, so sometimes you get slowdown (the kind of lag you might see in a 4 player match at fountain of dreams). On the other hand, if youre playing online and it takes too long for one machine to send info (players locations, button presses, etc) to the other machine, then they slowdown the match until everyone is caught up with each other.

Whether online sucks or not, It’s the idea that we actually get it. Not evryone has sixty cajillion friends to smash witha nd not everyone is like kirbykid and can afford the time and money to make it to tournaments around the freakin globe. If online is lagged, I’ll still play it. But we have to know, Nintendo is making the game, their pretty smart when it comes to game design.

can you hear what your opponents are saying during pro tournaments, or is there a no-talking policy?

I think voice-chat’s presence should reflect that.
