Watched your matches (finally), ESAM..... your brother has a really good ZSS......

Hehe, just messing with you (but for real, he does). Your Pika looks excellent as always.... I can tell you've improved some, at least against your bro.

Anyway, here's my critique, take it or leave it:

  • The first match, there were a lot of SDs in general, and even though it happens from time to time to everyone.... gotta watch it. You seemed more hesitant in this video than in the others and could have been more aggressive, although you did a really nice job edgeguarding and making him second guess how he was gonna get back on the stage.

  • Second match, you took a lot of damage from the suit pieces. Imo, just throw them away, because chances are he'll know how to play with them better than you do. Nice moves under the tree for the kill, lol. I noticed that you dash attack a lot after an fthrow, which I wouldn't recommend.... it's much too laggy, and the damage/knockback is poopoo unless the opponent's at a high percentage. I would usmash instead, or wait for them to roll/get up and punish that.

  • Third match, you started out well against the pieces, but then the last one gave you trouble, lol. I would have laughed if you'd killed him with that bair on his last(?) stock..... and I'm sure you know that chillin' on the ledge for that long was a big mistake. :urg:

  • Fourth match, get out of the water!!! Hehe. On the roof part, I don't know if the Skull Bash was a failed QAC or if you meant to do it, but.... yeah. Offensive SB is rarely your best option.

  • Fifth match, you threw the pieces away, which was good. You SD'd hard, but you had a nice comeback gimp. That's all I got for this match in particular.
In general, you already know your Pika is really good, so there's not a lot to critique. Everyone's already mentioned this, but Skull Bash less for recovery. I'm surprised your brother didn't punish you for it more often.... bolder opponents (especially those with better spikes) will jump out and kill you for it, and once you're in the SB animation, there's nothing you can do about it.

On your thunder usage: there were a lot of moments where you could have waited out his airdodge and thundered after, and it would have hit him. Since you know that he knows that you're probably going to use it, you can be fairly sure he'll airdodge if you move underneath him. Punish that.

And that's it, hehe. You mostly seem to take damage from getting punished after whiffed attacks or attacks on his shield, which..... I can't really say "be more accurate!" since that somewhat depends on the skill of your opponent.

I envy your edgeguarding skills. You seem to do really well there.

dont use thunder so much and try to play some mind games instead of just going at it 100% aggresive.

Kinda like how your bro did the double dsmash then run past > bair or fair to kill you... mindgamez

Ill critique the last match with your bro, since I have nothing better to do this morning.

0:10 - Iunno. I would be using that armor against zss. Glide toss or mindgames? Iunno, just something I would do.

0:24 - That fast fall dair would be punished easily, especially if it was a different character. I dont know if it was an accident or not, but you should avoid doing those because it will be punished easily.

The thunder at the end let to your death. You should be cautious when and WHERE you use your thunder, especially on battle field. The platforms get in the way of the thunder making contact with you at the end, so there will be more lag where the opponent has the time to punish your mistake.

I also liked your uses of bair, but sometimes the landing lag caused you to get punished. I think you are aware of the lag from zss's down B move when she recovers and lands on the stage. I could tell you were trying to punish those, but got hit by the tip of her leg.

Lol i got lazy after i wrote the first sentence. Sorry ESAM.

Honestly, I would have to think hard to come up with something you did wrong. You comboed well, the sh dairs were especially nice. You may have staled some of your moves a little were a little careless on the ledge in the Frigate Orpheon match, but that's all I can really come up with at the moment. You just have a really good Pikachu.
