Just by putting the word Bombsoldier in the topic title you just opened a can of worms about as controversial as George W Bush as far as the smash community is concerned.

Way to go *** >: (

however controversial he is, he is the only person i've seen with the opening vid being a 0 to death combo on ken.

That, my friends, takes at least a little talent and nobody can argue that.

yeah...i agree...bombsoldier isnt the god so many ppl made him out to be originally(altho them doing that was a selling point for 0C3), but he is definitely better than many are making him out to be now

Nope. In that shiek match he was doing mindless pillar attempts not enough lasers and not enough grab followups to try and make the match feel "controlled". Very sloppy. But the peach match was nice.

Lasers were stagnant too not enough movement forward and backeith them, which is kinda necessary in shiek and doc matches since sheiks fair and ftilt and docs pill are stupid.

He roll into and in front of shiek at the start... It's nice that he sometimes goes up and down with some backard DI so that he isn't coming in all the time but he is vulnerable when he lands, backwaveland if the enemy doesn't attack and nair if he's comin forward etc. Even a airdodge to go behind like a semi triangle jump into a shine combo or pillar is better then coming down and getting grabbed by shiek.

His falco was always more vertical up and down with fulljumps but you have to dash more into shorthopped down-A's since it leaves you less open. Have to mix it up. Its like falcon throwing out down-A's up and down without dashing into or past them... you are liable to get shieldgrabbed much easier and or meet the ftilt juggle of doom.

He didnt use lasers to control the match even when shiek was landing clean ftilts, when they get spammy on the ground spam some lasers and make them jump a bit and try some arials. Personally I think shiek is much easier to shieldgrab (from arials) than alot of characters which means fair spam is out.

He DI'd very poorly at 1:05 after getting hit like that you always DI outward at that percentage... he should have expected shiek to fair his 4ss.

When he comes forward he is attacking... every time, or he just goes up and down a bit then keeps going forward. He never goes in and out, drop some lasers, keep them guessing and making an opening to attack. He is predictable because everytime he comes forward he is attacking. There is no laser approach into a dashdanceback and forward into a dash attack or a few lasers then dashdance and wavedash back and drop some lasers etc. There is no fakeouts with the backflipping jump motion into either forward or backward waveland mixup (usually back but forward into grab on few occasions). He is just comin straight at him which, to me looks like when you haven't played falco for a long time and you forget how you properly play him and not be predicatable.

After about 2 mins though he started to get the feel of things and doesn't leave himself open as much but he still is just a mindless drone rushing shiek and not using lasers except for once in a while which is a bad idea. Proper laser use is what makes people like forward so devastating.

Kudos on the mindgame at 2:56 though, it didn't land but i was impressed. If shiek had jumped it would have been a very nice trick...

Oh and at one point he triple jabs... bad idea. Double jab is okay but after that I have NEVER gotten away with 3 jabs, they are weak and your opponent will CC eventuually and counterattack or just retaliate and hit you with something a little more ranged... a weak jab can only try to klink at best... so yea three was a bad call. Maybe 1 or 2 into a dsmash if they get caught up in the hits and are still close enough.

meh, i guess thats about it.
