2-oh darn it all Google Translate!

お父さんこんにちは!私も物事を翻訳することができます!私はあなたが誇りに思って作るのですか?
I'm actually learning Japanese. lol

I didn't use Google Translate to write my post above... unlike you. Your phrase is awfully formal, something that automatic translators do by default.

What? I'm not bilingual.
Besides, I liked how hilarious the phrase sounded in English (I did certainly translate "the things"). So I kept it.

Filthy casual. :troll:

Well, I am bilingual, actually. I speak Portuguese and English with fluency and can understand French and Spanish to a degree.

Currently, I'm learning Japanese. At a kind of slow pace, but still.

I think it's really culture for me, as I live in America (New England to be specific. And yes, I love that snow. Can't get enough. /sarcasm). And here you only really need English to be all set.
Leaning other languages is more of an optional thing. You could (mostly for credits), but it's not a necessity.

Well... Here, it's mandatory to learn two foreign languages in school. Either one for 5 years and another for other 5 years, or 7 years of one and 3 years of another. I did the last choice regarding English (7 years) and French (3 years).

I learned Spanish a bit by myself, mainly thanks to being similar to my native language. As for Japanese, I'm also learning it by myself, out of curiosity.

But don't worry, one day we will all have to learn Chinese. :troll:

Well, that's understandable (being in Europe and all).
If anything, the only language I'm considering is French (as I plan on living in Canada someday).

The only Spanish I know is some of the food (and whatever I picked up from Dora when I was younger).
With Japanese, let's just say I'm one of those guys that dubs and subtitles were made for.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if that's case (I mean, we get everything else from China)...
