Entering Route 35, I fought a couple trainers along the way, and I also met a new friend...

A particularly feisty :032:. I decided to call him... "Uni."

There you go, The Stoopid Unikorn The Stoopid Unikorn . You're in the Nuzlocke. :)

A Pokemon that was named after me.....is actually having some success?

When did we enter an alternate dimension?
Well. . . there is that one theory that every pokemon game exists in a different parallel world/dimensions to explain the differences between games

I prepared for the rival fight and during my brief bit of grinding, a Rattata got a clean hit on Kon and killed him. On the bright side, Hat and Darkpit evolved and I taught SilverEra Mega Punch via the move tutor outside of Mt. Moon. The rival battle was a bit bumpy but no one died thankfully.

Damit. . . all i wanted to be was loved, as every zubat before me. . . darkpit I'm relying on you now
Well Kon, at least it wasn't fire that killed you this time.

Or a hatchet.

In general or does it mainly have to do with a certain number?

Will do. I probably won't be able to play today though unfortunately.
Fair points. But it is humiliating to die on grinding

Such a tranquil area is the National Park... So peaceful, riddled with bugs, and...

..Speaking of bugs, I have appeared to run into one myself.

...It's a :011:... Oh, if only Heimlich stayed alive for a while longer... It brings back fond memories of my dear Caterpie...

I went ahead and captured this cocoon, naming him... "Monarch."

This counts as my encounter, since I never obtained Metapod.

By the way, I'm using species clause so if I were to catch say an Oddish, I cannot catch another one on a different route. And this applies to the whole evolutionary line too, so I can't catch a Gloom because I already caught an Oddish and if it happens to die, I'm locked out of the Oddish line entirely.

I probably should have mentioned this earlier but eh...

Oh, is that how it works?

I always thought that applied if you only caught one form of the evolutionary line.

Well. . , honestly its all depends on how the rule affects the person themselves.

As long as it follows the core rules, the optional/additional rules can be chosen, modified, or changed to ones own will, so both variations of the species clause are valid its one of the ways on how every nozlocke is different.

However whatever rules you chose, you must stick through it the entire play through, no changing minds midway.
