Honestly I really don't find their roster bad, beyond reboot Dante, especially from a first party perspective. And even then, the third parties they got at least made sense. Yeah, they tried for Crash, Spyro, Lara, and Cloud, but Activision were being butts, Lara was a case of wrong place and time, and SE apparently suggested Lightning over Cloud, so eh. :p

It's also easy to forget that the game didn't have nearly the same budget as Smash, what with being a fledgling IP.

I had to help feed my amiibo addiction - I picked up Falco and Green Yarn Yoshi. Falco completes the vanilla Sm4sh roster. Just Lucas, Roy, Ryu, Cloud, and any future DLC and I'll have the entire roster.

Considering that game was basically promotion-centric, is it really that much of a surprise that DmC Dante was in it? Also Big Daddy when BioShock really seems to fit Xbox better? Dart from Legend of Dragoon was planned as DLC and scrapped. Could have had the protagonist from Shadow of the Colossus as his rival.

Also.... Crash, Spyro, Lara, and Cloud were all considered but scrapped? I can see the Lightning thing because Square Enix loves her...but Lara had upcoming games, and Crash and Spyro MADE the Playstation 1.

Can you link a little confirmation for me about Crash, Spyro, Lara, and Lightning/Cloud?


....sorry, I really wanted to love that game. I did.
