I never really liked the idea of EG to begin with. That and the execution of it was just poor...
Sounds an awful lot like games I dislike because of bad ideas, bad execution, or both.

Rainbow Rocks is definitely an improvement, but when the entire concept itself is terrible, it can only get so much better.
