What I've always found funny about birds is their tendency to stretch their wings out whenever they see you for the first time in a while.

It's a blue-crowned conure, and yes he does talk.

I've told the story of him here once before, I believe.

____

Our Parrot does like to stretch his wings, all of our birds did. Wasn't usually when just they saw us though.

I don't mean in flight, per se; just lifting them off their bodies, or pulling one of their wings outwards with their foot.

That's because everytime I visit my aunt, she keeps overfeeding her, even with all the warnings I make :(
So....you didn't get to WATCH THE EPISODE? :(
Just finished watching it and y'know, I should've mentionned I hate musicals. :urg:

That gouda pun was pretty great though.

My mother just told me that ( apparently, ) she won't let me buy the MLP comics, and even the show itself is a little questionable for her.

I'm thinking borrowing that MLP CD from the library was a mistake, if this goes any further.
I've already told my mother, or at least hinted, that I don't want her bringing it up to my dad. If he learns about the show, he'll at least feed me a talk about masculinity, if he doesn't stop it all together. I don't want to see either happen.

If your dad pulls anything, just say it's your life, not his, and that God loves us all, bronies included.

You know I'm notorious for making jokes about bronism, but the possibility that your parents might stop you from something you feels too much like deja vu for me.

If you only knew the number of things I used to like before my parents decided that it should stop, it may make you think I spent my childhood being their pawn (which, in a way, was sorta true).

Stay strong, buddy!

I'm really afraid to tell them off. As I've said before, I've been really sheltered until lately, and thus was following their beliefs blindly. How can I play it like I'm still the world ignorant, close minded follower I was before? If they knew I was on the Internet unrestricted...

Them telling me not to watch the show woudn't stop me, though. I'm not their blind follower anymore. It'd just mean I can only watch it as I did before, in secret.

On a side note, though, that argument wouldn't move my dad, unless I'm mistaken. He'd talk about how it's the man God expects me to be, etc. He is NOT the 'love and tolerate,' kind of Christian.

True story:My dad once told me he met an atheist ( who also may or may not have mocked God, I can't recall, ) face to face. When he learned this, he felt a strong desire to physically harm said person. He didn't actually do it, but he attributed this to mean he was on a very righteous path.
It's good to have passion, yes, but...
