Blood Falcon for Brawl+

Blood Falcon is a clone of Captain Falcon, created by Captain Falcon's arch nemesis, Black Shadow, for the sole purpose of hunting down and killing the original. Since Blood Falcon's very existence revolves around preemptively hunting down and killing his prey, Captain Falcon, his Brawl+ moveset would reflect his premeditated fighting style.

Blood Falcon would not receive any speed nerfs, but his combat style would revolve more around spacing than his counterpart's finesse style. Here are some move examples:

Grapple: The DI of grapple would be reduced, but it's knock back would be severely increased.

Falcon Punch: Falcon Punch's wind up would be decreased as well as it's knockback. The damage it dishes would be wound up however.

Raptor Boost: Raptor Boost no longer puts Falcon in helplessness. It's distance and and height propulsion of Falcon's foe is decreased.

Falcon Kick: Falcon Kick goes straight in the air, travels farther, delivers less hitstun, and puts Falcon in helplessness afterward.

D-Smash: The forwards kick is sped up and does half damage and knock back, while the back kick does more damage and knock back.

D-air: It doesn't meteor, it's faster.

U-air: The move pulls in foes, and while Falcon is at the apex of the move, his foes are meteored downward.

D-tilt: Meteors at the foot.

Side tilt: Faster, smaller hitbox.

Feel free to contribute to the project by submitting textures (even though the game already has a decent alternate color scheme for Falcon that resembles Blood Falcon), and even better, code the project because I have no clue how to.​

Blood Falcon would be cool. And maybe we could slow down Falcon's voice for a more evil effect. :laugh:
I'm all for adding more characters for Brawl+, but I just hope that the main B+ hackers don't mind working double overtime for this... :urg:

Blood Falcon would be awesome but I was wondering maybe making blood's moveset more like Falcon's in ssb64 with the usmash uppercut, nair sex kick, and fsmash fire kick

With all these characters, I really wonder who gets put into the official builds(IF THEY MAKE IT IN)... But another nice idea. Let's see where this goes.

Why no d-air spike? That is one of the reasons I play Falcon at all. And I'd definitely like to play Blood Falcon, though no meteor does sorta push me away from the desire now.

This also sounds really weird to me. I'm not sure how he'd fight at all now. The other "clone" characters at least made sense. He almost sounds like a crappier Falcon, so far anyway.

As much as I like Blood Falcon, I really doubt he could make it in. Even at his core he's a direct clone of Captain Falcon, his only difference being he serves Black Shadow. Still, I don't want to just drop in here without leaving a suggestion...

Since being different from Captain is the only way he'd get in (Even if it goes against his character) maybe his Smashes could become more reliable killers and be given less cooldown in exchange for say, his aerials no longer being reliable finishers and having their knockback reduced. It goes against both his awesome aerials and the Knee but it's something at least.

Well since Blood Falcon is a clone why not roy or luigi-fy captain then?

Utilt - spikes but is slower
Ftilt - the same
dtilt - pops the person straight up (lol dtilt tilt combos?)

Momentum and gravity = less momentum than falcon so hes a lil bit easier to control but make him lighter so he gets KO'ed earlier

Fsmash - less cooldown and less knockback
Dsmash - Front kick knocks you away but the behind kick pops you up
Usmash - same as captain falcon

Uair - make it similar to mario
Fair - no super epic knee. But make it one of his finishers. (less knockback than sweetspot knee and no electric effect. But make the sweetspot bigger)
Dair - same as captain's but weaker
Bair - same

So yea, my ida for blood falcon would be to make him a combo oriented character thats kinda like captain falcon but not exactly captain falcon lol

That in no way sounded appealing.
Give Reverse Falcon Punch Opposite direction knockback, and sweetspot knee a spike, fire element.

We need a "new character/new character speculation" thread.

Okay, maybe removing the meteor off of the d-air was a bad suggestion. Perhaps make the d-air slower?

Sweetspot dair on stage while opponent is grounded should bury them, but dair should have like 80% ALR.

Pummel should be dark.

Dtilt should send strait horizontal or semi-spike, mostly horizontal though. Bair should be slowed down with a damage buff and the electric effect.

Falcon kick should allow for rejump and should launch straight up. Does little damage with little start up and little wind down. Aerial kick should send straight out horizontal with a bit more damage.

He should be floatier, but heavier, with more friction, and less momentum.

up B should also kill.

Also, taunts are disabled. Blood falcon does not taunt. He mearly kills. Make uair weak in terms of KB and %s too.

Nair should also be disjointed.

Dsmash could be slower with less wind up, and send diagonally upwards. Usmash has fire effect and also sends diagonally instead of straight up.

Fsmash is left alone.

Interesting. Here's a possible set of Luigi-fying adjustments.

-Jab adds the gentleman.
-Utilt is faster but less knockback/hitstun.
-Ftilt is same speed, but buffed for more hitstun and damage.
-Dtilt knocks enemies more horizontally.
-Usmash can stay as is.
-Fsmash has dark fire, and more damage, otherwise unchanged.
-Dsmash acts more like Ganon's (first hit knocks enemy into second hit), has more damage, less knockback.
-Nair is more damage, but slower.
-Uair is the same speed, but has a bigger tipman hitbox.
-Fair has fire, and more damage, but less hitstun and a little less knockback.
-flub Fair is identical.
-Dair is slower, but spikes on all hitboxes, like Ganon.
-Bair is identical.
-Falcon Punch is slowed a little, but has a more horizontal knockback.
-Falcon Dive has more damage, and darkness.
-Raptor Boost has more damage, less travel distance.
-Raptor Boost (grounded) hits closer to a 30 to 40 degree angle above the ground.
-Raptor Boost (air) has a bigger hitbox in front, but still induces helplessness.
-Falcon Kick (grounded) knocks upwards, more knockback and hitstun.
-Falcon Kick (air) is identical.

I think that covers all his moves, stays balanced, and still varies significantly from the original Falcon.

What do you think?

...I was referring to a Blood Falcon codeset for Brawl+. My point being that it's awesome to discuss, but it'd probably be a good idea to get a coder on this if it's going to go anywhere.

Well, like I mentioned in the OP, my idea for Blood Falcon was that he'd function like a predator, and his game would revolve around spacing. That, for me, would be the ideal play style for Blood Falcon.

He'd also get the extra jump if the down b took him straight down.
I don't think that'd be horribly useful if he isn't going to get any horizontal distance.
And make the BFalcon's kick last longer just to prevent it from ever helping recovery.

I could seriously consider having a Blood Falcon kick go faster. It'd be a pretty awesome move like that.

EDIT: Grounded, I mean, but aerial too, I guess.

How about it last longer, but the move automatically cancels if it makes contact with another character.

No more. REmember that power creep thing that that person brought upa while ago.? It's in action right here.

Brawl(+ or not) probably won't become mugen as long as we can't outright edit the attacks to have different animations or have different models/sound effects.
