Right now the appoarcah game is whats killing me. At first I tried grenading but it's way to easy to duck or jump over them and it leves me in a bad postion to fight back so oppent scores a free hit. I've tried thorwing a greande then dropping one next to me then rolling away from both grendes but then it's easy for anyone who see's it coming to jump over both and nail me. Finaly I'v treid droping a C4 then rolling away to bury a landmine. Eventually this scores a hit but by then I've racked up to much damage to notice. So any tips Snake Gods?

Here's one pretty common method:
1. Shield drop nade
2. roll backwards (optional), then dash-attack grab the nade
3. Two options after this:
- mortar slide out of the dash attack and toss nade afterwards
- shield out of the dash attack right next to your foe, and the nade blows up without damaging you but creating a blast radius around you to damage your opponent.

Otherwise I prefer forcing them to come to me. That's usually the situation, else I just mortar slide in there once my thrown grenades create an opening. Try cooking them beforehand so they blow up on impact.

edit: omg lucky post 777 >.>

You do me offensive right? Anywho Snakes appoarach game just seems really limted. You can only mix it up for so long before they start reading you like a book. In my experince a predicatble Snake dies.

^ lol @ "You do me offensive right?"

On Topic: Yeah I find that forcing them to come to you is often the easiest way, but just be creative. Mix up all the options and make them make the tougher decisions. Whatever this means to you...

Sweet! It turns out chucking Grenades at your oppent sorta slows them down and racks up some small damge. Then drooping a grenade at your currnet postion cretates a kind of trap. X= grenade o= oppent S= you

It's worked so far. Excpeted on those y=who simpl jump over the nades and hit me with a nair.

You drop a grenade by shielding or grabbing. Dash attacking into upsmash is done by dashing, doing a dash attack, and in the first frames (when snake is jumping into the roll position) you up smash. There's info about it on this board (it has a couple names cromsliding, Snake's wavedash, etc..)

Nade drop into your position, chuck one behind them and either short hop b-air or dash attack, just some ideas.

I have trouble approaching the Links, because they can cover all ranges pretty well. And all in all, my approach really needs to be fleshed out for every character, because I tend to forget everything I know and play way too defensivly(and badly) once I get stressed out.

何?
Link's a tough one to break. Nikita missiles usually power through other projectiles though, and grenades are useful at any range. Closing the gap is easy with a dash attack or mortar slide.

Shield drop or shield dash definitely. I personally like to chuck a grenade, than dash mortar right into them. Works like a charm. :)

Here's some food for thought. It's something that I "think" I did by freak accident, but I'm not sure if it was my imagination. Try testing this:

Does the D-Smash dodge projectiles? If it does at all, it may be when he initially bends down to lay the mine.

(I just C-stuck that one)
