Here's something I've been pondering for a while: If you could combine moves from different characters to create the perfect moveset, what would you use?

My moveset:

Aerial movement: Pikachu

Jab/Cross: Samus

Dash attack: Yoshi

Usmash: Falcon

I've always thought it would be cool if someone could hack this game and make a "create a character". As I was thinking about this though, there is another element which you guys have forgotten about. What about the body of the character? I would assume Pika would be ideal overall cuz he's small, but if you wanted Samus' bair, wouldn't you have a pika body with a long Samus robotic appendage??? This would be sweet, someone needs to do this.

It's possible, just like this NOKUBURE guy that's "coding" gameshark codes for stage editors and other stuff. You can disassemble the game and recrete it, or individual change what you want. Just takes awhile to do. LOTS AND LOTS OF coding and bul.lshi.t.

Edit: I was going to add new characters and all sorts of new stages and other stuff into the game, but I just don't have time to do this stuff. I'm a busy guy.

the "neutral" hurtbox its a variable among with many others that we are forgetting, its true.


Changing the subject: that "create you on character" wolud be possible but very difficult to do because you have to know that the hurtbox of a character changes with he attacks...and in many times some part or all of it becames inmortal and there are different ways of invulnerability in the ssb...so you have to asume that aa loot of bugs and imporntant glitches would appear when mixing hurtboxes, hitboxes, and graphics...

its possible but i think nobody is going to do it....its way too hard....

but yes, that would be great :p

Can we combine moves together? Like an U-Tilt with the speed of Kirby's, the range of Link's, the fixed KB quality of Yoshi's and the KB of Ness' at 0%? That would be fun.

Character will never move since he is so heavy, character up-tilt hitbox covers entire screen, and... well, it's Kirby's up-tilt. Enough said. Star KO every time.

I would suggest something like Ness's second jump with the invinci of Yoshi's.

Turning in a full dash should be as good as Master Hand.

Physics during hitstun should be like Luigi/Samus, at all other times it should be like Fox.

Captain falcon uair into jiggly rest would be so good. The perfect character would have teleport ability knockback resistance and other techniques like that.

tried 2 times to do this code :/

I can try a 3º time guys :) I can only find the character model, but is posible that the moves are around :)

also, B butons cant be changed because:

1- some Up B use proyectiles or custom effects (except mario, luigi, DK, CF)
2- most of the neutral B uses proyectiles or custom effects (except jiggly and DK)
3- some down B uses models, proyectiles or custom effects (except mario, luigi, yoshi, DK)

so, keep this in mind, for example, we cant give any samus or pika B butons to other character

Hmm... Could you, for example, make Pikachu shoot Mario's Fireballs instead of his thunder jolt? Like, make it so that when a character is supposed to shoot his projectile, make him shoot another projectile instead?

Some of these are really sketchy. Jiggly's Bair? Kirby's Dsmash? Link's Boomerang is a Maybe, but Mario's down-B is a no.

Here's mine:

Aerial mobility: mario

Jab/Cross: fox

Dash attack: Mario, but without endlag

Usmash: DK's Range, Kirby's speed (Or whoever's fastest) , KB of Ness' Utilt, Samus' Damage
Fsmash: Pikachu's, but with Kirby's speed
Dsmash: Ness (but with more hangtime)

Utilt: Kirby
Ftilt: Falcon (None of them are particularly good)
Dtilt: Kirby, with yoshi's set knockback

Uair: Falcon
Nair: Kirby+Ness
Fair: Falcon's, only 11 of them instead of 2. 1 frame DI window.
Bair: as Kirby's Fair, but behind you. Spikes at the end A la DK's Fair
Dair: Kirby's range, Falcon's weird hitbox, Yoshi's damage, Ness's Spikyness

Up+B: Pikachu, with Luigi Up-B (initial, of course) on anyone whom you touch
B: Falcon (PAAAAWNCH!!!!!!!1)
Down+B: Jigglypuff's, but with a hitbox as disjointed as Pika's Fsmash around your entire body.

Both jumps are like Yoshi's Secondary jump, but with many more invincibility frames. DJC is possible, of course, and Short hop resembles fox's.
Grab range: Samus
Grab speed:DK/Whoever's fastest
Bthrow: DK's fthrow, but without the escapability
Fthrow: Falcon, but with set knockback equivalent to Falcon's throw at 0% (or maybe a bit less)

Taunt: Weegee's, but with a cross of Kirby's and Ness's sounds and the speed and range of Fox's aerial laser combined with the power of a Giant Punch and a Falcon Punch. Can be Taunt-Canceled to great effect.

Uh... what? DK's Fsmash is arguably the most useless move in the game...
no way is the useles...i wont say is the bes fsmash; but is as fast and i think as large as pikachu´s fsmash...pikachu´s is better because the hitbox last more...
it has good uses for ending combos and edgeguarding.

then you gotta think about moves that would easily link in combos, not just the best moves you can think of.

It's reasonably useful for edgeguarding.

It's definitely far, far from a useless move. DK's dash attack is about as close as you can get to a useless move (Sing too, although I'm sure Blue Yoshi would disagree :p)

DO THIS: open you emulator input the same controls into player 1 and 2...select pika with player 1, plug player 2, selec dk with player two...go to any stage and do a forward smash: dk cames aout almost as fast as pika´s....and they end at exactly the same time...

if you think that you cant end dk combos with forward smash; i can asume your dk is not quite good...or is just pure grab.

uair-fsmash...mid % in heavy chars.

In case you guys didn't know, when I was looking through moves' hitboxes, I noticed that sing has a hitbox that goes away and comes back twice, and the second time it comes back it becomes larger.

EDIT: Meh, I'm bored, so I'll post screen shots in a sec.

EDIT 2: Here you go. Each hitbox appears for about a quarter of a second (15 frames) or so (rough estimation), then disappears. There's maybe 3/4 of a second of time between each hitbox.

First hitbox, starts at the very end of "Jig" notice that it mostly covers Jiggly's left side (doesn't look like it that much in this screenshot, but that's just because of the camera angle):


Second hitbox, starts at the very end of"gly" part of "gly," notice that it mostly covers Jiggly's right side:


Third hitbox, notice that it's significantly larger. It begins at the very end of "puff":
