m2k had a better marth than Ken's at the last tournaments of ken's career, i think m2k has been the best marth ever since
I think M2K is the most consistent Marth, and the most successful. That being said, I like watching Ice's Marth most and I think he is the most creative. I also played this kid Al who is my brother's friend, and he is definitely a "Secret Boss" of New York. This guy was doing some of the CRAZIEST, most creative things with Marth. His pressure made is feel like his sword was water being poured onto my character. I've played a couple of good Marth players, watched a lot of really good Marths in videos, and I've never seen that kind of creativity. This kid, Al, had been out of the tournament scene for so long he just developed his own metagame for Marth. I wish he played in tournies nowadays, because his kind of creativity is exactly what Marth needs to get out of this rut. Ken's style, perfected, is M2K. And M2K hasn't won in a long time. We need change, or Marth will continue to be a tournament losing character.

i completely agree. marth is versatile enough that we can rethink his game. m2k is the best, but i feel like this character's hopes of winning nationals again are on the shoulders of pewpewu and ice. those are the two i feel are redefining marth as a character.
