Besides Story Mode, what's the one single player mode you want to make a return?

For me, it's a unique Break The Targets stage for every character. I know it's never going to happen, but a man can dream.

Smash tour but it's a lot better and fun and everything bad in it is fixed.
Only because after you finish a game you get a motherload of gold and custom moves

Board the platforms was fun in the original, shame it didn’t return in any of the following games. This time Sakurai is bringing us a lot of fan favorites, with all three battle modes that were not in the previous game instantly striking me as way better than anything smash 4 did, so I think either board the platforms or target smash (maybe even both) will make a glorious comeback.

I kinda want to see Crazy Orders or some similar mode, since Crazy Orders was my favorite mode from Smash 4. I doubt it would be the same since custom parts don't seem to be a thing in Ultimate, but I would love a similar mode where you try to clear as many fights as you can while your damage carries over after each fight and you can enter the final round whenever you feel like it, and the rewards get more numerous the further you get.

I guess I'm the only one who thinks that every single mode is returning for Smash Ultimate (How could they not have that in addition to every fighter/stage making a comeback in Smash Ultimate)!

Gimme Smash Run, except everyone shares a space, there are up to 8 players, and we all do multiple contests at the end to decide the winner. I really loved the idea of Smash Run, and while it could have been executed better, it was still fun and I spent quite some time on it. Also if we could do it online that would be so cool.

I'd like individual Target Tests for each character that take advantage of their unique properties and abilities. With a roster this massive, I understand why they won't do it, but I had blast with Melee's Target stages.

As long as they have target smash and not “Target Blast”... Why is it even called that anyway? I don’t think anyone had a blast from that mode!

Don't really have an opinion on Smash Builder since I never played Smash 4 but from the sounds of it. It must be pretty fun.

Being that this is called Ultimate for a reason. We should expect all these modes will be returning. It's guarantee.
