what event do u guys like to see in a tournament?

big 10 v 10 crews?
3 v 3 crews?
low tier?
low tier doubles?
random tourney?
etc.?

Also, how much would u pay to enter a tournament for singles and doubles? The tournament is one day with pools for singles and at least 10 set ups guarantee.

I need some ideas and input. 2010 will be a new beginning for the socal smash community if I can get this contract signing

big crews if it's a big multi-regional tournament

small crews if not, although hopefully with some contrived rule that fights 'supercrews' that aren't really from the same area or anything

How'bout 26 vs 26? Use EVERY character in the game! Japan does that s#!+ for Guilty Gear and SFIV!

Edit - Will it last long? Hell yes! However, a lot of people would participate!

also i'd generally rather just have ample time to ensure singles+doubles finish comfortably, then have friendlies time

Nothing. Focus on getting singles and doubles done on time. If there's extra time, do pools. If there's still extra time, that's a GOOD thing; we can all leave early for a GOOD place to eat, or all have a lot of extra friendlies with OOS.

Seriously, why does everyone try to cram everything they can into something?

anything other than singles/doubles/crews is a waste of TVs, in my opinion.

the amount im willing to pay to enter a tournament depends on the expected return. im willing to pay more at a tournament that has pools, good hosts, a lot of set ups and is out of my region or featuring out of region players.

if theres lots of setups i would rather just play friendlies and do teams money matches with sMoke2jointz (accepting all challengers)

or draft crewz

draft crews sound fun for small tournaments, friendlies for the big ones.

maybe low tier draft crews if people are in the mood. silly is fun. unless the players are horrible.

everyone eating out sounds good too

draft crews always end up being a joke though, Oscar. Remember the one at my house, where Adam was being a little girl and wouldn't try unless he was allowed to switch from Sheik to Marth? And then Cameron went Bowser? haha

what are u talking about, i thought you would take that insult as accepting the money match
i'll figure out the dollar amount based on how much i have in my wallet on the day of the tournament

i forgot who i heard this from and i might be wrong so sorry if it's a mistake, but lovage and dsf were playing friendlies in melee

lovage said something and dsf got mad for some reason and was like "mm me 5 bucks no mm me for 20 bucks" and lovage back out. it was like at one of the ucla tournaments.

I dont get DSF sometimes

Hey macd we should do lots of team friendlies at pat's house to warm up then money match people

On topic: I think we should do crews. It's just kinda cool to be on a crew with someone from across the country that you've never met. Just seems appealing to me
