That doesn't make much sense. Even if the 3DS version wasn't leaked, they would still have this embargo up. They simply just don't want every content to be shown.

1. Footage of a revealed stage that we've played on for over 15 years.
2. Footage of a stage most of us figured was in the game.

The likely "punishment" will be Nintendo will never give this person or their cohorts any special privileges again. They likely will also probably lose access to all media events involving Nintendo as well.

That is of course unless they're with IGN. In that case, Nintendo will make further sexual advances on their company.

Was there ever some kind of factual, definitive report as to what happened to whomever that was? I wasn't aware there was any way we could even have known

Publicly revealing anything about an unreleased and cancelled game (heck even cancelled technically) before theyre officially released is bad juju. Only reason thejwittz gets away with it is because Nintendo is telling him what he can talk about.

Same reason Blizzard was banning people for poking around in unfinished/unreleased zones in WoW. They didnt want us spoiling anything and removing hype if the off chance we get pissed by it before they get our money lol

Don't ever remember blizzard banning for poking around zones and I was an "explorer" as far back as exploring hyjal in vanilla.

Yeah, that's actually true. Some of Beanman's videos were embedded in other threads and when I go to click play on them, it would tell me that they were unviewable because they are set to Private.
